Cardinals Folktales | ‘Money Mike’s Redemption’ in 2009 NFC Wild Card Game (Ep. 8)

The 2009 NFC Wild Card Game between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers was one of the greatest playoff games in NFL history, with star QBs in Kurt Warner and Aaron Rodgers and more than 1,000 yards of offense. It had drama and overtime, and in the end, a game-winning play made by a scrappy down-the-depth chart cornerback – former safety Mike Adams – who lived up to his nickname.

This is the eighth episode of Cardinals Folktales, a series where we dig deep into the best stories from the Arizona Cardinals franchise that you've never heard. This episode is presented by SeatGeek.

Please tell me y’all are doing one of these that Fitz stars in; I love these

    ditship

My guess would be one about his 2008 Playoff performance.. though these do seem to be single game specific. He’s a big part of the Packers Coin Flip game obviously 🙂

Paityn Adams

My dad is awesome!! Yes!! He is my dad!!

    Cardinals Gang

W dad, can u tell ur dad to yell at them for new uniforms tho

RyRy Tha N8tive

Campbell, Dockett, Dansby, Peterson, and Adams? Man I miss this squad. Darnell Dockett needs to be in the Cardinals ring of honor #riseupredsea

    Tre

Which Peterson was on that team that year? Or were you talking about just that era? Was there another Peterson besides Patrick?
But yeah, those guys were monsters. Dockett was a beast

    Nidatiti

@Tre wasn’t Peterson it was Rolle, he saw 21 somehow thought pat was our only 21 or what he wasn’t drafted for another 2 years

    kayzehn enas

Don’t forget about #24 Adrian Wilson!! Later on #32 “The Honey Badger” Tyrann Mathieu. Also lost a great LB in #58 Daryl Washington.

    ditship

Peterson wasn’t there though. 2009 Cbs: DRC, McFadden, Brown and Adams. Absolutely agree on Dockett.

    Zach Ellis

@Tre right.. Warner got blasted and that was it

Dave Smith

I love my Cardiac Cardinals !

BassStrangla

Cardinal Folktails got me super into the video!!!
These are sooo good! I love my Cardinals. 🙌🏿

quagmire

This is a great story, but, it’s strange the refs didn’t call that facemask penalty. Hell, today if you brush up against a quarterback’s sock, it’s 15 yards.

Mark Okany

this gave me goosebumps for 15 minutes straight. Thank you Cardinals

Always appreciated Adams. Dude doesn’t look like he aged a day since retiring either. Crazy.

Dev Ames

11:40 He’s got a hand full of facemask that I’ve never noticed. We might’ve stole one lol

dylanklein247

Crazy to think we’re close to the playoffs too

frank51ify

Karlos Dansby made me feel like I was watching film

Kyle Olivarez

I was 13 years old and losing my mind when this game ended. I miss Dockett, Dansby, Wilson, DRC, Warner, Fitz, Bolden, maybe just the whole roster. Great times.

Cloud121

Can we get a Folktales on the “Jay Feely Game” against Denver in December 2010?

Raymond Pilarczyk

Seriously, he had some of the best instincts at CB as anyone who ever played for this franchise, and that’s why his height did not stop him from making the roster

Heldemys Medina

Great game, great play. Glad tô know more about it

Cardinals Gang

bruh we need new uniforms
