@Ryan it started changing towards the last 4-6 games last year . The analysts started noticing that the team was still playing whistle to whistle all year long even though they had been out of playoff contention for a long while – they were playing hard and getting better I really remember Aquib Talib doing a couple of the lions games last year and saying this team is going places – they have a whole different approach – I figured if a guy like that was noticing my eyes weren’t lying to me . Most of the countries only impression of the lions is they are the early game on thanksgiving – they are usually around 3-7 or so coming into it and they usually find some way to lose . I’ve been watching this team for almost 60 years and this is the first time they look like a legitimate team that can do something .

1st time watch8ing something like this. It’s interesting how dependent they are on spotters. I figured Dan would just have his own binocs.
I’ve been able to listen to some other team’s radio broadcasts and I hope us Lions fans realize how special Dan Miller is. His announcing style just brings the excitement and it’s great to listen to.
I’ve listened to a few others too. They just don’t compare to D Miller.
Paul Allen of the Vikings is the only comparison worth while, I have told Dan that and he knows it’s high praise. Other than that the only other people I think have his passion are in baseball.

I am so sad that it isn’t easier to tune into Dan’s calls outside of Michigan, he just brings an energy and a passion that you really just don’t get on national broadcasts outside of a few guys like Kevin Harlan and Gus Johnson.
