He’s going to be a great head coach!
Mike and Russ Gage will be ready game one. They have lots of receivers that can fit in as the 3 or 4 in a spread offense in this receiving room if Chris isn’t full speed in September, but I think he will be ready comes real game not pre-season time. I see the Bucs having a more balanced run/pass offense, as long as Lenny, Rachaad, Gio, Key-shawn are healthy and productive. If they get more than 3 yards a carry-on 1st or second down Tampa will not rely on passing 3rd downs as much, and the play action will be more lethal. Lenny can catch it out of the backfield, and Rachaad can as well.

The Bucs are going to surprise the league with a new dimension in their run game. It will be roughly similar to the 2018 Patriots 1 or 2 back set, with a pulling guard, Shaq Mason, Wirfs, and Gronk paving an open lane through the second level. Or variations of the above which will assure that the Bucs have a fully complementary run game that will extend drives, slow the pass rush, wear out defenses while keeping offenses off the field. This is why BL mentioned “blocking” 17 times in this presser.
