Winston was afraid to get his and couldn’t stay in pocket. At least he had a good pass completion percentage that came
Winston was the first (and only) QB that threw 30 (or more) TDs AND 30 (or more) INTs in ONE season. He had two games last season that had 4 INTs, and one with 5. The next closest player from the 2019 season was Mayfield at 21 total, followed by Rivers with 20 total. For the sake of math, 30 INTs / 16 games = 1.875/game. Compare this to Mayfield’s 21/16 coming out to be 1.3125/game
If we take the nine games Tampa lost last season and look at Winstons INTs, we find that of those nine games, eight of them had INTs, and those eight games had 19 of his 30 total INTs. If we do the math, 19 INTs / 9 games lost = 2.111 per game. This gets even worse when you take the only Tampa lost where he didn’t throw an INT. 19/8 = 2.375 per game.
Of Winston’s 30 INTs, 6 were returned for TDs by the defensive player. This is across both games won and lost by Tampa. The other 24 INTs ranged from giving the other team a moral boost while draining Tampa’s moral (seeing your QB throw ANOTHER INT can’t make your defense feel good), it also put Tampa’s defense back on the chopping block as they had to hold the line against a team that just took the ball back.
As a Tampa fan, I am glad Winston is gone. Don’t care where he ended up (I know he’s a Saint now). That being said, I do NOT want Brady on our team. I do not want the Patriots’ sloppy seconds trying to regain some form of glory. I will admit though, it would be nice if Winston played in the next Tampa/NO game so he could finally throw the ball to a Bucc.

Doesn’t this comment section know that Brady is the anti-tinkerbell? You don’t root against him…he just gets more powerful. Just say they did a decent job and the Saints were just a far better team. That way Brady can retire in obscurity and the new talent I’m the NFL can keep be exciting and great to watch.
Brady is over 40 and he ain’t getting 5 or 6 free wins a year anymore. He’s going to have to win more than two home playoff games to make the Super Bowl too. Bucs miss the playoffs or sneak in and get smacked in the first round. Bet on it.

@ghawkins816 Since Brady entered the league, the NFC south has had 5 appearances in the Super Bowl and 2 wins (which could have easily been 4). Who cares about last year. The NFC south has been head and shoulders above the AFC east for the last 2 decades. Also, how many MVPs have come out of the AFC east outside of Brady? The NFC south has had 2 in 5 years, and even as a non-Saints fan I can say Drew has been robbed so it should be 3. There hasn’t been a consistently great QB in the AFC east besides Brady for the last 20 years.
