Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time and has won 6 Super Bowls. Bruce Arians hasn’t won a single thing, and Todd Bowles, as good as his defense is talent wise, is not calling the right plays. Clearly Brady was important in New England- they’re terrible this year without him. FACT IS: Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles need to call better plays
Let me give some examples of what they should’ve called: 1) Defense should’ve called much more tight man coverage, with blitzes and have a zone player either double covering Kamara or Thomas depending on how the play develops. This would result in Brees being beaten up early. Then they could’ve gone to 2 man under later in the game or cover 1. Maybe the occasional zone play thrown in, but disguised. They shouldn’t do zone all game against a white QB, Brees is too smart for zone to work against him
As for offense, they need more rub routes, pick routes, intermediate routes, slants, etc. Plays designed to get one or two guys open every play. And they need more man-beaters (hence, rub and pick routes and quick slants or some quick double moves). The stuff Arians was calling was garbage. Long-developing routes when the O line clearly was getting beaten every play? BAD IDEA! Get the ball out QUICK! It doesn’t matter if the receivers were 5 randy Mosses out there, if you’re running plays where you don’t have time to throw it bcuz the rushers get to you (the QB) before your receivers break open. Dumb play calling. Someone should hire me, I’m ranked 12th nationally on Madden lol. But seriously, I could do better

@BrutalAsBucs Question is, what is the weakness. Can they put a finger on it? How can you have Godwin, Evans, Gronkowski, Miller, Brown, Brate, Fournette, Jones, McCoy, Johnson, Vaughn, and Brady and still struggle to confidently win games against Packers and Raiders and but lose games to Saints and the Bears. The coaching staff has got to answer that.

Lady asks the question “Guys have been pretty good blocking” yet the giants got to Brady easily, put AB in the backfield that’ll be the hardest matchup to cover when you spread out with Miller Godwin and Evans
Maybe a wake up call for this team. Super Bowl contending teams are competitive in these big games at the very least. Talent doesn’t always equal success. They need to play better in all phases next week and find the consistency that they’ve lacked all season. No excuses at this point. I have faith they can turn it around and make a run as a wildcard team.

The play-calling was terrible, the defense was terrible, the offensive line was terrible. BA has more work to do on his coaching than anything else. You need to protect Brady at all costs. Brees is the exact same way. If you don’t get to Brees, he will tear your defense apart.

The way to winning is to never lose. If you learn to lose then, by definition, you don’t win.
They need to get the ball out quick if they are going to block that poorly. They send all of their receivers 15 to 20 yards down the field. The offensive play calling is terrible. The idea that they must get the ball to Evans is the wrong idea. They should spread the ball around and hit the open receiver. If the do that and run the ball Evans will get intermediate and long pass opportunities. They need Godwin to get healthy. They need a few possession receivers.

Look, this game was beyond pitiful. To the point that it’s unacceptable. I thought the packers played bad, but this team barley scored once! Everyone knows the buccaneers have better weapons & they already lost to the Saints…Not even a buccs fan, more of a Brady fan but I’m insulted as just a fan of football lol…sooo uncompetitive…brought the Buccs back to earth for sure. Perhaps, this coach is getting exposed..
That zone defense you ran the whole game sure worked out great.. Every aspect of this game-plan was 1-dimensional

Completely idiotic defensive coaching. Brees sat back all day with a pocket as big as Texas shredding the zone with receivers wide open everywhere. Meanwhile Brady was trying to throw in a phone booth as the OL collapsed and few created any separation.
And the offense wasn’t??

10000% out coached. Saints where ready SCHEMES and executed. The Bucs twice where not ready and did not play to STRENGTHS against a division opponent. Smh. This was bad Bucs nation. Hope we recover but division is the saints to LOSE!
Not just the coaching, the offensive line was horrendous all game. The second the game started the Saints rush was already in the backfield

The won at the line of scrimmage every snap offense and DEFENSE. I agree with you. Just sucks to see us have a game like ed this. Brady has a 35point defeat on his resume now but the Bucs will survive this and hopefully it’s a lesson moving forward for the greater good. IDK SMH
