What a kick!!

Bill Graper

Cade York! A lot of fans were making horrible comments after we drafted him in the 4th round. I was happy with that pick. There was NO ONE ELSE at any position who could’ve made a big difference. We had to get the best kicker in the draft. He literally won the game for us with his foot. Without him, we are 0-1 right now.

    DemBoyz

I told people we legitimately needed him. I wanted us to draft him the moment he announced he was entering the draft. He’s a beast. Hell of a leg, great accuracy, and clutch

The Cade York pick was my favorite pick of the draft, and I even said so during the draft, because I knew how many games that the Browns lost because of their kicking. Andrew Berry is a really good GM, the fruits of his labor may not show in 2022, but in 2023 when Deshaun suits up for a full season, I think everyone will see why he made the moves that he did. As bad as Anthony Schwartz had been in preseason, he still was able to make some contributions in this game. But the game ball goes to Cade York who had the game winning kick.

    Cake Get Enough

They were just mad about Baker Mayfailed 😂😂😂

    Twollegedratboy Esquire

I must have been lucky because I didn’t hear anyone complain about that pick.

    E Dub

Cleveland will win 3-4 close games this year because of this young man’s foot.

Greg Cunningham

Would’ve loved to see Nathan’s reaction to that kick….I’m surprised he still has a voice.🤣

    h1w1p

Oh, he screamed on the air, believe me.

    Steven Lalli

    @h1w1p howd he do today?

    Parker Simon

@Steven Lalli he did a good job. He loves this team you can tell.

    Edward Gaines

Donovan screamed his voice raw too!

Connor Miller

CADE THE LEG! That’s his new nickname! Way to go Cade!

    K A

You heard it here 1st 💯

    Back Toyou

Robert Britton

Bought time game 1 and a kicker 🏈🇺🇸 Go Brown’s 🏈🇺🇸 Go Buckeyes National championship 🇺🇸 Thanks for the show 🇺🇸 God bless

Christopher Okicki

Defense front seven. Played well. Defensive backs – gave up 3 large plays that lead to 3 tds. Watch film, clean that up, improve from it, learn from mistakes, keep receivers in front, don’t get beat deep, bat down ball/ cause incompletion.

Christopher Okicki

Let’s look to get better, improve performance, learn from mistakes, fix them, play as well or better next game. This is for all 3 phases. Offense. Defense, and special teams.

I can hear the FAN in Nathan’s voice. Love this guy. ✌️

    MUSTAFA WOMACK

He has a Rick Flair cadence 🤣😂

Kid Lightning

Good game for the Browns the only thing that concerns me was the blown coverages and the Browns deep passing game other than that not bad at all for wk 1

Frater Sol

He would of made it from 70 on that kick. It hit the middle of the net

    Aldwulf

    At least 69

DeepFried CherryPie

Did you know that New York state was named after the greatest kicker of all time?

    Aldwulf

Cade needs to grow his moustache out Gangs of New York style

Ctwn 216

jacoby first season with the browns already has a game winning drive

    Aldwulf

He already matched the number Mayfield reached while he was here 👀

devious100dd

Cade was great, brisset not so much and the secondary continues to give up big plays. How many times and for how many seasons are we gonna see them blow coverages and give up big plays.

    Shawn Johnson

    We won

    A B

Every secondary in the league gets blown up. But I agree man. Now twice? With one in the critical moments? That’s gotta stop. I don’t expect perfection but gd, that timing and frequency needs to be adjusted.

    devious100dd

@A B if you go back to last year the secondary blowing coverages was a big issue as well. All last year we could count on seeing the other team get a bomb cause the secondary blew it. We won but this team right now without Watson can’t afford giving up numerous plays like that. Hopefully they clean it up.

Scott Meyer

We’ll take the W. Never a doubt… Go Browns!

Patrick Keith

Defense played really well besides a few big plays by the Panthers. Can’t have miscommunication like that. Red Zone offense needs work. You kick field goals instead of TDs you leave teams in the game. All the Panthers big plays led to TDs and they stayed in the game and eventually took the lead because we weren’t scoring TDs. Honestly I wouldn’t be mad if we played Dobbs. He can make plays with his feet. Besides Brady the elite NFL QBs can make plays with their feet. Jacoby showed his limitations as a passer. He can’t really push the ball down the field and against great defenses that’ll hurt them during this 11 game stretch. No turnovers which is a big positive for Jacoby. I think if you see more from the passing game next week like we saw today. You consider putting Dobbs in simply because of his ability to make plays with his feet. Run game was elite. York proved drafting a kicker was the right choice. He gets touchbacks on kickoffs and he can kick big time field goals. Our punter had a nice day. Two punts inside the 10 yard line and was able to flip the field a few times which we couldn’t do last year. Great win! Browns 1-0 for the first time since 2004

God is Great

Thank God we drafted York…I’m glad we won bet yet again I thought we should have won in a blowout..had to sit there and sweat out another game

    A B

I feel ya. But the victory is so much sweeter when we have to sweat it out though. That was a fun fking game.

John Smith

That contested catch by Donovan Peoples-Jones in heavy traffic on 3rd and long of the final drive was unreal and critically important which gave us an opportunity to move a bit further for Cade York to become the HERO.

🏈👊🤠🤚🏈

    Aldwulf

Let’s not forget Anthony Schwartz made a critical catch to keep the drive going late in the game as well!

Coach Humph

I honestly think the blown coverages were in part due to a either a lack of respect for Baker as a passer or a general complacency that set in once they had proven to be so effective at defending against Baker.

Joe Flacco’s longest pass of the day was 24 yards so that tells me it might be a similar early approach next week by the defense while still addressing the mistakes of today in the secondary level of the defense.

Norman Baldwin Jr

That’s what I have said, “better to cover mistakes after a win than a loss”.

the Coaster Bear

I loved the Cade York pick. With 2 minutes left I looked at my brother and said “the Cade York Era begins with a 63 yard game winner” I was off by 5 yards.
