ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos went through their Thanksgiving practice with every player in uniform and in drills.

That included running back Knowshon Moreno, who took part on a limited basis after being held out of Wednesday practice with a right foot injury. Moreno said “I feel good” before returning to the trainers’ room following the workout. The Broncos expect him to practice Friday as well.

Moreno left Sunday’s game in overtime with a bone bruise to his right ankle but did return a few plays later to finish out a 37-carry, 224-yard night in the 34-31 Broncos’ loss. Following the game, Moreno was using crutches to get to and from the trainer’s room and wore a walking boot on the injured ankle for the flight home to Denver.

“He was working on some sympathy,” said Broncos interim head coach Jack Del Rio following Thursday’s practice. ” … he’s coming along.”

“He fought for every inch,” said Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase. “It’s a shame we lost that game, because that was one of the better performances I’ve seen by a running back in my short time in the NFL. The guy goes for 37 carries and fights every inch of the way … you sense he was like just give me the ball, I’ll figure out a way to put us in position to win.”

Tight end Julius Thomas (right knee), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (shoulder), cornerback Champ Bailey (left foot) and cornerback Omar Bolden (concussion) also took part in the practice on a limited basis. Bailey has said he plans to be in the lineup Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs and Thomas is on track to play in Arrowhead Stadium as well.

Quarterback Peyton Manning (right ankle) and tight end Joel Dreessen (left knee), who were both held out of Wednesday’s practice, took part fully in Thursday’s workout and will play Sunday.
