I hope you’re right. I never thought Gute would use some draft capital to move up to draft Jordan Love, but he did.
@Zzz Zzz Yeah hes a quarterback, the most important position in all of sports. Going back to Ted Thompson, Packers GM’s have only spent 1st round picks on the true impact positions: QB, pass rusher, oline, and secondary. Those are the most important positions and the hardest players to hit on. Havent taken a receiver in the first round since Javon Walker. I dont see them doing any differently this year just cuz fans are beating the drum for a receiver for the 5th year in a row.
Gute is making the right move with Aaron Rodgers being involved in developing our young WR’s this what I want to see. This is the land of opportunity whoever the Packers draft in day 1,2 or 3
@gary beatty There’s really no reason for this offense to take any step backward this season. Aside from new guys getting acclimated, they have the tools to become more efficient, which would greatly help out the defense and special teams. Adams is a loss, no doubt. But if it channels AR to trust the system, it could end up being better than last year.

@DOC Sylva No it doesnt. It just means theyll have new receivers. Packers never draft receivers in the 1st round and theyre not about to start now. The value for receivers is in rounds 2-4 anyways.

@Forty-one Shades Any team that is thinking about drafting a loser QB in this draft. In Love’s favor… he’s still young, and has 2 NFL games (Chiefs and Lions) for experience.
Texans for 37 and a later. Top nfl scouts say he has more value then other guys in this draft

because 12 hates rookie WR’s. last year was all about Adams and Cobb and running the old offense. Cooper won’t have a chance if Cobb’s around and they’re trying to run 12’s offense. hopefully 17’s departure brings back MLF’s offense which they mostly ran in 2020. the O was terrific that year.

So no one asks the question about the health status of the 2 established receiver’s in Sammy and Randall? Sammy has played 1 full season his entire career. There is a reason they got him cheap. His last 2 seasons were 300 and 400 yd production with Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Randall has also struggled to stay healthy the last couple seasons and is getting older. Not trying to be negative but these factors are history you simply can’t ignore. A nightmare scenario is Sammy and Randall out due to injury with Lazard as your #1 along side a 3rd round rookie with Juwan Winfrey as the 3rd option. Yet no one asks that Question 😕!!!

I think Pickens is going to be the #1 WR out of this draft. I like those kids you mentioned though. Packers need to get at least 2 in the draft this season I think.

If that happens, to be fair. Our defense is stacked, you can never have too much depth. But I wouldn’t mind a 1st round receiver.

If you are talking about trading up, get pick#6 from the Panthers and draft Garrett Wilson. Everything else is just half measures.

The Raiders aren’t going to trade Waller for a 3rd rounder. They will want back in the 2nd round. Trade them 59 for 96 and Waller.
Then package 92 and 96 and get back in the 2nd round.
