TT passed on Watt taking KKing instead. I agree instead of drafting Love we should have drafted Adams replacement.
@TVMAN54 Let’s be honest. Drafting Love is what fueled Rodgers to get back to that MVP form. This shouldn’t be taken as a joke anymore.
2018~2019 Rodgers played like a borderline top 12 QB. After drafting Love in 2020, his future in GB was very much jeopardized, so he went back to fix his fundamentals which led him to become the best QB in the league for 2 consecutive seasons.
He then gets a mega-extension, which solidified his ‘future’ at GB. And thus, we lost our best WR (and even if Adams was willing to re-sign with Packers, we would then be without Quay, Devondre, Douglas, Nixon, Reed and Christian Watson).
Even then, he choses not to attend OTA knowing most of his weapons would be new to the team. He backs that up with borderline top 20 QB play.
Picking Love (thereby forcing Rodgers to play well) has been more impactful to the team than drafting a WR would have been, except for maybe JJ who was not available
@Jaehong Park I highly doubt Love fueled Rodgers . Rodgers is going to be Rodgers as long as that O line is holding up . His accuracy and quick release has never left .. it honestly has gotten better with time . He’s just impatient because he’s been in the league so long and he’s trying to get a ring .. so if receivers mess up .. or if Matt Lafleur isn’t calling the right players .. Rodgers gets frustrated .
@Big dog our O line has been holding up pretty well as of late. O-line has been decent in 2018 and 2019 too if i remember correctly. Rodgers accuarcy this season definitely has been on&off, even prior to the injury

Paying Rodgers $50 million and giving him nothing but rookies to rely on was a horrible decision. Anyone who follows this team closely could see that before the season started.
Think about how different it would have been if they took Higgins a few years ago. My guess is they didn’t see Davante wanting to leave. But regardless why aren’t you planning for the future at that position when its so vital. To their defense the guys they drafted like amari didn’t turn out but they there’s NO excuse for not trading for a guy like toney or all these WR’s who took very little draft capitol to acquire.

Everyone wants to sit and gripe about the offense but can we take a minute to look at how bad the defense is and has been…this was a defense that ppl were exciting for especially with taking our first 2 picks on defensive players.. this defense has let this team down drastically…

They look even worse than they really are because the offense doesn’t stay on the field long enough to give breaks.
This was supposed to be the elite defense coming into this season after that terrible playoff loss against the 49ers.

They did give an enticing offer to Jimmy Leonhard a couple years ago. He turned them down. Currently, he is again undecided on staying in Madison. Jimmy is not listening to other offers until he decides on whether to stay in Madison.

Millions of dollars were spent on a problem Defense and DC.

Blah, blah, blah. He said nothing. Green Bay press is an embarrassment with their softball questions.
The man utterly decimated this team, and he tool ZERO responsibility for his actions. He let Adams go (Adams was trying to redo his contract for 2 years!) and traded him for 2 draft picks who are worth little considering Rodgers’s window is closing fast. He did NOT resign 3 veteran OL players, and the O-line has been bad most of the year. He has taken are chances of winning a bowl and thrown them away for “draft and develop,” which is a failing philosophy. And the reporters let him get away with it in this media presentation, shame on them. And shame on Greenbay fans who let him get away with it too. If Greenbay had a real owner, his rear-end would be out the door. Finally, shame on Rodgers for trusting this loser.
GB keeps on doing the same thing time after time with QBs they recruit a backup and dont know how to handle the transition when the present QB is a super star. Again Management is the problem they let a superstar go and are trying to now blame the guy who won led them to three winning seasons. Look in the mirror

LaFleur and Gutekunst both need to be shown the door. Until that happens, expect more of the same mediocrity. Rogers is a businessman first, qb second, who knows his shelf life has already expired.

Lets be honest here, Love is already a hard one considering they really wanted Jefferson but failed to do want it took to trade up. This could have already cost them a SB in the last two years. Also passed on Brandon Aiyuk, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman Jr., Chase Claypool and Hurts. No team was going to take Love first round so what choice does the GM have but to pray Love works?
i think love has grit. dude is a grinder…just needs reps an experiance an probably some new wideouts if they got rid of rodgers. just super stack some badass wideouts or you get a hellova defensive player that can wreck the game.
Expect more of the same mediocrity until Gutenkunst and LaFleur are shown the door, along with both Offensive and Defensive Coordinators.
