I was about to say those college coaches have a shorter leash but I didn’t know he was there for 3 seasons.
He turn Baylor into a wining team in 2 years so they thought that he can do it in the nfl but way different
Should’ve done this last year Tepper had a chance to salvage this season with another coach but he decides to wait till week 6 to do it,nice!
@J M Some college coaches are not cut out for the NFL. They think that bc they’ve been successful in college it’s gonna transfer to the NFL and that’s not what happens in most cases. Chip Kelly comes to mind.

That’s not true at all…the team was going backwards…they were 7-9 with Pettine, 3-13 next season and fired, Jackson takes over…1-15 in 16, 0-16 and fired the following season after 2-5-1. The team was not going the right direction with Hue

I wasn’t able to watch every Panthers game, but it seemed the defense did get better during Rhule’s tenure, but the point is – if you don’t have a QB or can’t fix the QB position in today’s NFL, unfortunately your time as a HC in the NFL is going to be short.

I live 30 minutes from the stadium, been a Panthers fan all my life. This is some of the best news I’ve heard all year. The offense has been downright hard to watch. Baker looks worse than last year when he was banged up. In fact, the offense looked so enept, I think the defense played worse than they would have if they didn’t play from behind almost the entire year.Now, onto looking at who were getting in the draft and who’s gonna be the next head coach. I hope it’s not Wilks long term. I’d much rather see someone like Ryans from the 49ers or perhaps Leftwich from the Bucs.

Never seen a coach who laughs and smiles with the referees while losing by twenty points until I saw Matt Rhule.

I’m so happy as a panthers fan, I hope we get the number 1 draft pick and turn this team around. We don’t need much, just need a QB and a new head coach and that’ll solve majority of the issues on our team.
Didn’t the Panthers draft a QB in 2022? I believe it was Corral from Ole Miss. Is he still in the long term plans for the Panthers?

As someone who went to Charlotte a lot as a kid for NASCAR races and who flew through Douglas Airport frequently, I applaud this decision this decision by the Carolina Panthers. You guys deserve a leader and Rhule is not your man.
