TwinDragon56

Finally, we already had diontae,Pickens, friermuth, Najee, Austin (when ever he comes back) and sims for pass catching and we actually got a 2nd round pick for him? This is great😁

Don’t matter if your OC is trash

    The BrotherHood Sports

@TwinDragon56 you was being sarcastic and actually told the truth. He does suck and it is his fault. I agree.

    Dom

Everyone seems to forget Burrow was 2-7-1 his rookie year. Pickett needs time.

    Christopher Harris

@Dom Pickett need replaced. No one needs a noodle arm QB.

    Garrett Lambert

You need a better OC and you need to get an offensive line and Pickens IMO is not your Franchise quarterback

Szn

Great move. Still can’t believe packers haven’t made a move. They should have made calls for claypool or cooks by now

    Trace Rawls

30/70 believe they did this deal to take away a cheap option from the packers

    Szn

@Jogn Fong which is insane. If any team needs a WR it’s packers

    Pappa Dudat

Packers can’t afford nobody since they gave Rodgers that big deal.

    Jonathan King

Cooks is in the same boat as Golladay, nobody wants to take on their contracts.

    Maverick

Claypool isn’t that good. Don’t know why the Packers would go out of their way for him.

Steelers are deflintely rebuilding for sure . End of an era

    Ralph Genova

    End of what era

    bobby shmurda's Hat

@Ralph Genova an era of greatness, its been so long since they last had a loosing season

    Sean Walker

@bobby shmurda’s Hat but when was the last time they won a Superbowl like over ten years doesn’t matter how many wins you have the goal is superbowl

    Dylan Gray

@Sean Walker ehh they got 2 of em with him. Not a bunch of teams are getting rings all the time

    Max Swift

    Bears too

Lucky

This is an excellent move by the bears

    Ryan Candee

Well considering his QB was a half retired Big Ben and in an offense where they ran the ball and took check downs all game, claypool was probably never going to hit 1,000 yards. He’s a big physical WR that has proven NFL talent that can make plays everywhere on the field. Plus you just made a point for my argument saying the FA class next year is thin so why wouldn’t the bears want to take advantage of getting a very good WR now. The 2nd round can be hit or miss so trading it a young proven player that will be on this team for many years is well worth it. The bears have 8 more picks and $125 million to invest in the O-Line and D-Line. This was a smart move that’s going to help this team. As a lifelong bears game for 35 years I’m very happy. Plus we screwed the Packers

    Jason Tamras

@Ryan Candee they could’ve done better with the amount of draft capital they had. I’m just surprised they settled for a guy like clay pool who is decent.

    Golden State Fan since 1954

@Jason Tamras I think Claypool will be good for them… I think they traded for him so they can focus on the O-Line and Defense in the draft… I still think they kinda overpaid though

    Jason Tamras

@Golden State Fan since 1954 definitely. Not taking away too much from clay pool. Maybe he can be a good receiver who knows? The fact of the matter is the jags gave away a future second rounder and a fifth for a better talent in Ridley while we gave up our own second rounder for a guy who’s unproven for the most part.

    Ryan Candee

@Jason Tamras Calvin ridley is a very good player but he has a history of mental health issues as well as the gambling situation. As far as claypool, he has what a lot of WR’s don’t have and that’s size and speed combo. He’s a monster and a freak athlete that has the ability to go up and win contested catches. Ridley is good for a QB that doesn’t run very often because he’s a polished route runner. That’s not what the Bears needed because Justin isn’t too effective from the pocket. Could we have got more for Roquan? Probably. Did we slightly overpay for Claypool? Maybe. With the draft capital and money we have I’m ok with it as long as he contributes. 🐻⬇️

This means Poles is 100% in on fields. This year we won’t make it far maybe, but next year we could be a competitive team with all these draft plays.

Edit: For the people saying no. I bet last year if I told you the giants, and Eagles would be the top teams this year you wouldn’t believe it.

@kk Bears are going to the super bowl. Please come back to this comment January 29th

@ADNS MUSIC if they go to the Super Bowl over the eagles, 49ers Or bucs I’ll suck Jennifer Anistons toes

    Factssss

    Michael B

No. Hear me out. Justin Fields is entering this year with Poles and Eberflus running the ship. As for now, Justin has made some very talented throws and runs, but his overall stat sheet is still pretty low. Going into this season Poles and Eberflus decided we have a weak offensive line and wide receiving group. It was written all over every title of any training camp blog. The fact that Poles and Eberflus are bringing in a wide receiver to help us does not mean that we are sold on Justin Fields. It could mean we are finally getting around to evaluating Justin Fields properly, meanwhile, shoring up our WR issues. Claypool is a middle-of-the-road WR nothing too good from him but he has a very solid career to date. Mooney also is projecting to have the same numbers on average. Depending on how they both play this year it will pay off astronomically for the WR whose stats start going up. If it happens we can cut either receiver in 2023 whose stats dipped. It is no coincidence that is when both WRs’ contracts end.

Devastinator

A steal for the Bears! Packers missed on this opportunity.

    Private Twot

@Jump Street24 chase was never good he had 1 good game out of the 2 years he’s been with the Steelers George Pickens definitely has more talent then chase I’ve been watching chase get locked up by the trashes db’s in the league for 2 years he’s going to be worse with the bears

    Malik Banks

@Temo he was throwing the ball to him a watched up Ben Mitch an a bum in Kenny Pickens come on na

    Temo

@Malik Banks He still underperformed his 2nd year and so far this year while other guys like diontae and Friermuth jumped. Not saying he’s bad just inconsistent. And let’s be real fields isn’t an elite or even PB caliber qb rn either so calm down.

    Jump Street24

@Private Twot you dont know what your talking about. Chase good rookie year was limited by coaches. The other years was playing calling. Even martavis bryant did the limited thing… Coach t said George would not be limited.

    Eleazar Arriaga

@resin man it was the ravens pick

TheRealJoyRdJu313

Underrated trade , with bears having no recievers other than mooney he could definitely have a breakout with the bears

    Slim Vickins

@DH Worldwide That’s exactly what you’re trying to do…diminish Burrow’s importance. You’re a special idiot. Put Burrow on the 2018-2020 Ravens teams with those elite defenses…guaranteed Super Bowls. He already been there with half the team of those Ravens. You brain dead loser.

    DH Worldwide

    @Slim Vickins okay bro.

    TheRealJoyRdJu313

    @Randy Bobandy I wont because I’m not a bears fan 💯🤷🏾‍♂️

    Randy Bobandy

@TheRealJoyRdJu313 At least you did one thing right.

    xhx

@Slim Vickins I love Burrow but that’s not true. Bears have one of the worst O-Lines in the league

UdLuz

Talented player, run’s lazy routes. Hope he steps it up with a new team.

    White

    Go ravens 😈

    ImBearingDown

Bears coaching staff has been very impressive. I think they can get it out of him

    Free°use

    @White 😎 🟣⚫️

    Speller

@Drew Kil No not at all. He has no hands and he sells all the time. If anything his routes are good.

    Drew Kil

@Speller He is a good route runner, I was referring more to a lack of effort by him if everything isn’t going perfectly

Mr.P

Now the Bears making the right moves and getting the pieces around Fields 👏🏿

ImPacosTacos

as a Steelers fan, its nice to know we wont be running 8-10 WR reverses every game now!!!!

Raheem Williams

Hate to see Claypool go just wish him best of luck

ShowMan900

A shiny weapin for Fields. GM Poles is making sure Fields keeps improving.

This week on “Days of our Steelers”: Following a 35-13 loss to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, the “Black & Gold” brigade trade Wide Receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2nd round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. How will @UrinatingTree react to this news? Tune in to his channel to find out.

When you’re competing with other teams for a receiver, you are gonna end up overpaying. It’s an extremely valuable position which means it’s too expensive to sign in the offseason. Plus the FA market leaves little to be desired. So either draft a wr or trade for one still on his rookie deal. Here we are.

Ricardo Masvidal

It’s a good move for the bears if you want to develop Justin Fields you need more weapons and hopefully Chase can be that guy for Justin

Eric P.

Great move Bears, now we have two, very capable receivers, in Mooney, and Claypool, with plenty of cap money, to get even better, next season, got to applaud Poles, on this move, 🐻 Down!!

Robert Rhodes

Great move by both teams steeler fan here shout out to all the bear fans this is a good move hope claypool works out for y’all 💯

Scruff D0g

Solid move for bears, fields is starting to show real improvement

Anthony None ya business

Good for the bears! After trading roquan & Quinn this was a good trade from a packers fan 💪🏼 wish we would trade for A WR 🤦‍♂

Duncan On Me

Great trade for both teams. Claypool was the odd man out with Johnson and Pickens there, and they still got a 2nd. Bears get some help with a bigger body receiver. Considering what the Jaguars gave up for Ridley though, it could look horrible if Claypool doesn’t take a step up in performance.
