Those 3562 yards Baker passed for was good for were good for 18th in the league. That’s below average.

Baker’s 26 TD were good for 15th in the league.

His 95.9 passer ranking was also 15th in the league.

All at or below average.

Also his completion percentage was well below average at 62.8 which was 30th in the league.

And let’s keep in mind that that was his career year. His other season’s were worse. Overall not very impressive but that doesn’t keep you guys from spouting those numbers like they’re impressive or something. Information out of context is deceiving.

Furthermore the Browns got into the playoffs barely because the Steelers played their backups against the Browns in the final week of the season. Oh and let’s not forget that the Steelers backup QB Rudolph outplayed Baker in that game.

The Browns also won the rematch in the playoffs, not because of Baker but because of 4 first quarter turnovers by the Steelers. One returned for a TD and two others that lead to short field position. Also the third led to a TD mostly on the run. And then up 28-0 Baker did so little that game that the Steelers almost came back.

Sorry for so much information but the misinformation and deception given by people like you take time to discredit.

No he wasn’t. In his best season he was about middle of the pack. In 2020, his best season, he ranked 15-20 in most QB stats.

@BROK Stop with that excuse. He’s the only QB in the league who can’t adjust to new coaches or systems. Most QBs can pick up a new system in weeks, Maybe a few months. Bake somehow needs the same coaches and same system ever single season to progress. This just demonstrates what’s wrong with him. He doesn’t have a high football IQ and he process the game slow.

@ScottCleve33 I simply stated there was no consistency in Cleveland from 2018-2020 and that any QB drafted that year would’ve failed. That doesn’t mean Baker would automatically have been good anywhere else.

Baker is a QB that needs to be in a system that exactly matches his skill set. Baker processes the game slow. He makes lots of mistakes because of this. He needs to be in a system that minimizes the thinking and makes it more about reaction for him. He needs to play on instinct because if you ask him to read coverages and make decision he struggles.

@mike haugen Baker doesn’t know the system and he takes forever to learn a new one. It’s one of his biggest faults. Even his own fans complain about how he has had so many coaches and systems since being in the league but that’s no excuse because most QBs can usually pick reasonably pick up a system in a few weeks or months depending on the system. He was still struggling to pick up the Panthers system and he’s been there since training camp started.

So basically Baker will go to the Rams and look like a deer in the headlights.
