Remember when Dak was struggling and the Cowboys got Cooper from the raiders? This is probably what could happen with Baker Mayfield if the Browns use him properly.

In my honest opinion, Cooper is a quality signing, but I don’t really think he improves the Browns that much. Dude seemed like he couldn’t stay on the field like Odell. Odell Beckham couldn’t do much for them, even when healthy and with Landry opposite of him. Amari was playing with a better Quarterback also. Not really sure how this signing changes anything for the Browns. Just my honest opinion on it.

@Adrian Bishop yes. Everybody knows that Baker had issues with his timing and making accurate throws this year. But he played pretty well until his shoulder injury early in the year. He had to wear a bulky brace on his left shoulder, and it CLEARLY affected his play. Then, hurting his hip, he lost mobility and couldn’t run a lot of play action (what he does best). Again, I’m not blaming everything on injuries, but they played a MAJOR role in his terrible play the rest of the year. He should have been BENCHED the rest of the season, really. Now that he’s had surgery and will be healthy, he will gain his confidence back and his throwing will be back to 2020 form. The Browns are gonna be fine.
The game chef this signing helps balance the WR room depending the draft the browns pick. The browns aren’t done in free agent baker read found about Amari Cooper as the top guy so the pressure will be built and baker knows in to stay that him and his top three Receivers need to be on the same page. My grip is Kareem Hunt if they trade him the RB duo will be broken

As a Cowboys fan, I’m gonna miss Coop a lot. He did something big for the Cowboys when their offense was dealing with some issues in 2018.

he quit on the team got selfish like he did in oakland and cedrick wilson steppin up as a 3 made cooper expendable. youre upset because of his play from 3 years ago. plus now the boys can draft 4-6 Late WR the next 2 years or use them to trade up
@AAronBurrr, it’s not a good idea to try to get rid of Dak for another quarterback. He’s hard to replace, as his 2020 ankle injury costed him and the Cowboys. The Cowboys lost 6 of the next 7 games after the injury.
@Frankie Chapman its impossible to get rid of Dak now that they gave him 40 mil per … no other team would ever take that contract. Dallas should have moved on instead of paying mediocre like he is ELITE

I agree. They trade Coop and keep Gallup who can’t stay healthy. I watch Coop help change that offense especially when the Oline was hurt and zeke wasn’t 100% and they stared airing it out more.

I remember when Dak had a bad year…until Amari stepped into the picture. Dak essentially revamped his career with a guy like him. I look to, as a Browns fan, see a much better offense and a resuscitation of Bakers career in a sense. I don’t think it’s a bad trade at all. I still see the Browns getting a lightning bolt like Garrett Wilson or London in the draft as well, nonetheless
