Don’t get to hyped ownership tends to find a way to mess it up. If we were good we wouldn’t need to keep going on it on 4th down that’s just a fact. Nothing has changed from last year except we have a good QB. Rivers carried this sorry ownership for years why they let him walk to the colts & not Herbert play under him 1 year makes no sense.

@LEGION 13 This take clearly lacks understanding of what is going on. Losing Rivers contract allowed us to add extensions to Bosa, Ekeler and KA13. Herbert did not need to sit a year, even missing 1 game he put up one of the greatest rookie years in NFL History. Exactly what reason can you come up with why Herbert should have sat behind a QB who could not run the new offensive scheme. Staley is teaching this team to believe in themselves. By being the 3rd most succesful team in 4th down conversions, their is no logical reason to stop or even critisize those decisions. That’s why you are whining on a forum and Staley has the Chargers in 1st place. Those 4th down conversions WILL translate to being more succesful on 3rd, you have confidence. If you can not see the culture change going through the locker room in just 1 offseason in a new Coach you really don’t have a good handle of what’s going on. It’s going to take another year to bring in Staley style players who fit his scheme, can’t do that in 1 off season. We are headed into next off season with 2nd most cap space, Franchise QB, very well thought of Coach in a new stadium in LA one of the biggest media markets in sports, This team is trending in a very possitive direction. That is a destination spot. You need to bolt up.

@boldarblood20 nothing you said changes the facts I stated.Staley got everything he wanted from the signing of new players to the draft & getting a whole preseason. He is the one that said oh 4th down to us is like the new 3rd down then had to walk that back just like he had to do with the kicking situation oh no problems here I have faith then he low key goes & signs another kicker these are things he has said & done. If Bolting up means throwing out logic to you then go right ahead I don’t care. I wasn’t whining I pointed out facts. I can be a Chargers fan without having my head stuck in the sand.

@boldarblood20 Rivers played in different systems his whole career so thinking A veteran QB that holds one of the longest active starting streaks in the NFL can only teach a rookie QB about a system is just stupidity.
