Relax we can’t be perfect every game we did a good enough job. They definitely weren’t just running wild and crazy.
But we definitely have to get better especially with San Fran coming next
Staley when asked about giving up 200 rushing yards: “Well we put a roof on them and took away the deep shots. We took away the pass game and kept everything in front of us. They’re a really good running team.”
I mean we know our run defense defense sucks, he’s not gonna stand there and say they suck defensively against the run!!
Staley spent a ton of money to fix the run defense and it still sucks. The run D sucking is 100% Staley’s fault.
@Don’t Worry How is that possible? He’s not the guy out there on the field missing tackles and letting the other team run right by them. I’m all for criticism where warranted, but you’ve got to be real about it too.

Herbert’s great talents comes through for Charger’s despite ribs and many injuries of his teammates.
Total clutch passes right at the end of the game to twice get us in field goal range. Not every QB makes those.
2018 season we had a lot of sloppy games that we actually found a way to win… let us slowly build confidence. Got healthy at the right time.
@CrosseyedBilly ofcourse it gives me hope once mike will slayer and joshua kelley come back things will look much better. Hoping joey is back by week 11 against KC we have to win that game. Rashawn back for playoffs would be clutch. I would like to see a DT and a CB free agent signed as well as a possible speed WR but yes things are looking up
@Collin Reilly honestly I’m not super concerned about cb right now, if we got a stout guy for that Dline just to help out Sebastian Joseph day(who also wasn’t playing yesterday) we should be good our linebackers get the job done.

Khalil Mack has been everything we could’ve hoped for and then some!!

True besides Brown to the Eagles and Hill to Dolphins, Mack has to be one of the best trades in the off-season
Without a doubt, Mack still has plenty of “gas left in the tank.” He is a leader too, the whole defense looks up to him and feeds off of his energy and skill.

One big thing is this team is really really good in the final 4mi/ 2min drill when they have the ball. Not enough is said about that.

I agree. Those two drops were brutal but I thought that guy was going to take Ecks fumble to the house, or at least into easy FG range. Unbelievable. Weird things have always happened in Charger games. Seriously. Us long-time fans joke about it with each other.
That fumble by Eckler was why people coined the phrase ” chargering” . Lucky for us the falcons know how to charger as well. Bolt up!
Spiller looks promising… hes a good receiver as well… Id like to see them get him some opportunities in space.

I really do think Staley one day will be a really good coach . He from day 1 would have been better for a rebuilding team with a lot of young players who don’t have a lot of expectations. A Sean Peyton type for us would have the better choice because of our QB

Looking at the schedule before the season, I figured 6-2 (at best) or 5-3. I’m actually amazed that they are where they are with all of the key injuries they have had. 5 pro bowlers out, at all of the key positions, is difficult to overcome week after week.
Now the Chargers will be going into a 6 week, meat grinder part of the schedule. Just get through 3-3.

Say what you want about our team, we got the Win! We all agree we don’t have a dominated defense, but they made enough plays to get the W! Good stuff coach
Loved being there for this one. Big TEAM win. Everyone contributed, the players picking up for Keenan, Mike and Slater, all of them showed out. D never quit, kept fighting. Hope Johnson and Pip are ok. At this point, we really need to start thinking of calling Ndamukong Suh. We could use the help! Also really need to give our guys more opportunities to make plays! Damn fine road win that we had to have. It looked like the defense had some help out there….I swear I thought I saw Junior Seau out there at times when we needed a key stop such as the fumble return in which we recovered a dropped football. Miracles do occur on the road when Junior is visiting. RIP Junior with Love and Respect! K, alil Mack plays the sameway Junior used to, they never take a play off and give 100%, 100% of the time! Shades of Junior Seau, they both are first ballot HOFers. Total Respect to Kalil Mack!
One thing you can’t question about Staley is his passion of the game.
