Lombardi literally ran the ball on 90% of red zone first downs vs Texans. The only other times he did this was vs Broncos & Ravens. Look what happened, we got crushed!
Texans knew exactly what we were doing which is why our red zone offense stalled so many times only after driving up the field easily.
Lombardi needs to let Herbert cook. So tired of Lombardi trying to be “old school” & predictable. Trust Herbert.
Yes, I know we have to run. But stop forcing early down red zone runs.

It’s vital we get Herbert and the younger guys true postseason experience before we go crazy spending-wise this offseason. There will be no better time in Herbert’s career to win a SB(s) than in the next couple seasons. If we can just squeak into the post season and make some noise, we will have great momentum going into the following season and we will become the most attractive free agent destination. Hopefully by next season Staley’s defense will blossom into the force it was with the rams.
However, I’m not saying our championship window isn’t open now; We ain’t done yet. We can literally beat anyone when we are firing on all cylinders. We just need some god damn consistency. Time to see the true colors of the 2021 chargers…
Exactly bro! Of course, who doesn’t want to try and win the super bowl? But being realistic, that’s our true goal next year. However, our championship chances will take a HUGE hit if we don’t get our core players post season experience.

@Colton Caskey Keenan Allen won’t even be needed on the chargers anymore in 3 years. He will be washed up by then and chargers will need a new WR1 from either the draft or Free agency. He could stay on as a #2 or 3 though
Getting to the postseason is all about this game. It’s impossible to predict, both rosters are changing day by day**. Daniel, we need a little help to get in now, but looking at the people on other teams’ Covid-19 lists, they’re also impossible to predict.

Can we give storm Norton a hand for being always available? He is always there and has improved slightly, should be a good depth peice in the future, also trey actually looked good for once ! We will see. We need depth not just stars

Both Pipkins and Norton played well against KC, our problems were elsewhere. Norton has improved. Feel better about them as backups for sure. Of course, “backups” implies there’s a quality starter ahead of them in the depth chart. Both are affordable, no reason not to keep them.

In brandon I trust , in the coordinators not so much.. see 1 or more coords moving by year 3 unfortunately, but if we get more depth , we have a hell of a team

We played KC as if it was a pre season!!! Ridiculous. Now we’re sitting on the edge of our seats when we could have been comfortable 🤨 We’re better than this. I got tickets for Sunday before that game confident we were gonna smash these last games. Now I’m doubtful 😑
