Timothy Gorrell

Love Bean, these clowns trying to get him to fib on who he’s drafting, these reporters are sharp as a circle

Biernt Claypool

Without fail BB has a 40 minute press conference and tries to answer every reporters’ question. Seems like a really genuine dude.

Buffalo Bills, please fix the audio in these press conferences. It’s 2022 and I have my headset on max volume and I still can’t hear the questions asks. I want to hear them!

    Especially in the car

Closed captioning helps but I’ve been beating that drum for years

BTMS

If there’s some way we can get Deebo Samuel too that would be insanity and I don’t put it past BB and Sean to make a miracle happen. He’s everything we need and literally go through our roster we would be dominant

    Jerry Smith

Ya there’s no way lol, the CAP space won’t allow it

    Jerry Smith

Plus even if it would we’d have to trade like two first rounders or something crazy like that

Big Baller Beane #1 GM

I’ve always appreciated that Beane does his best to actually answer reporters’ questions. So many personnel give canned answers without any substance. Even when Beane is being cagey about strategy or can’t talk about something, he still tries to give a legit answer.

While listening to Beane I was thinking about “Moneyball” which is funny because, well, the name’s the same. But it seems like Brandon, while not giving away private info, comes across as truthful and interesting. It’s like listening to Pitt and his sidekick in the movie.

GO BILLS!!!!

He is right in the money. Your DB don’t have to be as good if your DL is awesome.

California Dreaming

I looked at a timeline and it appears that Beane drafted Josh Allen. Brandon would’ve been with the Bills maybe one year by that point. But I remember that draft well. I “told” the Cleveland Browns to draft Josh — they had one and four that year, I think because of the we’ll-take-Osweiler-and-pay-his-bloated-salary-if-you-give-us-draft-picks deal maybe — at four since I knew Josh was underrated and would stupidly still be on the board. Josh should’ve gone one in hindsight. But I think Beane has taken the right approach. The vast major of teams who’ve won the Super Bowl did it by drafting and developing their own quarterback. There have been a couple of exceptions; Brady with the Bucs and Stafford with the Rams come to mind. But otherwise if you want to win the Super Bowl you get your QB through the draft.

California Dreaming

I’m not really into “Sabermetrics” although I read “Moneyball” and watched the film. Both were terrific. Anyways I think that Beane — ironic name in reality — is right when he looks at picks as, “How much will this cost me?” It’s not just dollars but it’s draft capital too, along with other intangibles. But I’m seeing too many teams give up way too many future picks to get “their quarterback.” I just think it’s hugely risky. Look at Cleveland. They gave up the farm for Watson. Sure, Deshaun is good but he hasn’t played now for what? 1.5 years or more? And Watson still hasn’t resolved his off-the-field issues, to put it delicately. Or how does Watson mesh with his new teammates? If, for some reason, Watson doesn’t work out it could destroy the Browns organization. The risk-reward profile seems unbalanced to me. And just because it worked out for the Rams with Stafford doesn’t mean the same will happen with Cleveland and Watson.
