Brad The Madman Holmes is nutz, just nutz, like the Kevin Costner character in the movie Draft Day. Him and the caveman DC are a perfect pair to lead the den to greatness. They frankly don’t give a crap what normal media says about them, gritty, deal with when you come to the big D. Love these guy, hell I’d love them on my side in a bar fight.

I think he is going to be the best GM lions have had over Ford ownership. That’s a low bar, but I believe he’ll set it much higher
@Cling Clong nah Matt stafford was mediocre 🤣 we had a top 3 defense and top 10 o line along with a good receiving core (great even with Calvin) and he pretty much fumbled the bag on the playoff game. In both 2011 and 2014. Actually after his 2011 season he played like absolute garbage and somehow still kept his job.

also Detroit has not been to the playoffs since 2011 with Schwartz yet the city still loves the fiery loser.

Mediocre doesn’t mean “bad”. It just means “not great” or “meh”. Lions were never great over the past decade. At no point did Lions make the top of anyone’s power rankings. They didn’t even manage to make anyone think they were great, not even for a week. They were, at best, mediocre. Mediocre teams often make the playoffs. When they do, they often get bounced early, one-n-done. That’s exactly what we had.

Finally The Lions have a GM that knows how to scout College players. He’s still learning the rest of the job but I feel confident he’s going to draft some good players.
