I wish the Chargers made a trade for a wide receiver or running back. But I guess they don’t see anything wrong with the team we have right now. Which doesn’t make sense Because this offense is not explosive at all!! Hopefully we can find away to make the playoffs.
@Rusty Lidrazzah The problem at WR is the lack of a deep threat. All our receivers are position receivers. Guyton was the deep threat. Yet they only targeted him 4 times in 4 games. They fell in love with a lifetime kick returner. I’m no fan of the offense, but defense is still a huge problem. Their horrible. Let’s be honest, we have beat 4 horrible teams. Every one of those wins went down to the last possession or last play.

A lot of running teams coming up & how do YOU think our GREAT run defense of the LAST 3 years is going to look LIKE ? And NO one at the WR spots for the NEXT 3 to 5 weeks ? The lack of explosive plays on offense is due to the unimaginative poor play-calling by Lombardi and the lack of offensive weapons they have. especially due to Allen being out most of the year so far
I don’t think it’s just play calling, it’s mostly personnel issues, this scheme requires blocking Tight ends and we only have 1 decent one when we should have two but Mckitty is playing terrible this year
Lombardi sucks he is no offensive guru he plays every game the same way. It doesn’t matter what the other team is doing. It’s not Herbert morons unless you say it’s his belief in Joe.

@Job Reeves Not , me & I have been saying this last year ? We got a lot of stats from being behind in the 2nk & 4rth QTRS ? 19 QRTS in the 1st & 3rd QRTS of NO scoring & about another 5 to 7 more games of just 3 points in those same [ 2 ] QRTS ?

Tuesday , Nov 1st at 12;25 pm central time zone & no trades , with what a couple of hours to go ! Health is killing this team . No bodies at the WR spot now , seeing that Allen still is NOT himself ! No Williams for another 3 to 5 weeks , it’s GOING to be a long , wasted end of the season , FANS ! Next year as we all ways say ! I hate saying this , BUT, we are coming up to our ROUGH part of the season & play calling games like this , I think we are DONE !

@Jess Yates not shocked but still baffling as they spent all that $ on the offseason to just do nothing when adversity hits and they have a top 5 qb
1) Justin is not healthy. so where are his two backups that we were so intent on keeping?
2) we can’t run the ball or defend the run.
3) poor coaching, this is obvious by 4th down choices and how terrible backups in key positions are playing.
4) defensive head coach that has a very bad defense.
5) bad tackling on both sides of the ball.
6) lack of discipline, far too many penalties.
7) Brandon Staley
8) Joe Lombardi
9) depending on team talent to fix bad coaching decisions
10) what happened to spiller
At this point, I think losing Allen week 1 and then Herbert getting hurt week 2, followed by the other 450938 injuries that occurred there after has crippled the team. Dont imagine changes will be made with such a mangled roster. I think the staff gets another season to become consistent and competitive, or they blow the entire front office up and go in a new direction. Im sure there are coaches out there that would love to coach this roster and have Herbert at the helm.
Think your ALL correct ! So, another season with “Swing Pass Joe’s” , bull sh#t play calling AND another wasted year , NEXT year , also ! So, more OR less they ARE going to waste [ ALL ] of Herbert’s rookie contract before they GET going ! If , they can get it [ RIGHT ] then !

Literally any receiver moves would have been helpful over the past 2 weeks. Not trading for one or signing a veteran WR pretty much made this season a wash.

The ownership has way too much patience for TT. His team’s record since being GM in 2013 is 72-79, 2 playoff wins, and ZERO division titles. Experts think he’s a great talent evaluator because he drafted guys like KA, Bosa, Derwin, Herbert, and Slater. But if you really dig deep, TT got lucky with those picks because all those players fell to his lap. To his credit though, at least he didn’t pass them up. Where he consistently fails is finding diamonds and quality depth in the later rounds that can make an impact. In fact, the only ones that has worked out so far is Asante, KA, and Tranquil. The rest are all gone (excluding players still on their rookie deal). Here’s a perfect comparison: Seattle. In 2013, that SB team was mostly made up of late round gems that made an immediate impact. In 2022, they’re still finding these types of late rounders who end up becoming immediate starters. Yes, it’s not completely TT’s fault because it’s up to his coaching staff to develop players. But overall, he’s ultimately responsible for the team and staff that he assembles. Every year in the draft, he just sits and waits for the draft to unfold unlike other GMs who are draft savvy and go after players they want and need. And knowing his team is in this special ‘Herbert window’ but completely banged up, you would think TT would make moves. It also makes you scratch your head when you see what players were traded for. TT is way too attached with his late round picks (that never pan out anyways) that he’s unwilling to trade it away for proven players. Even if they might not fit in right away but at least they’re available bodies. If the Chargers don’t make the playoffs, TT needs to be fired. Take a look at his picks below:
1st & 2nd rd (fell to the Chargers) steals: Bosa, Derwin, Herbert, Slater, Asante. **I would add Mike Williams but left him out considering guys like CMC and Mahomes were still on the board.
1st & 2nd Round flops: Fluker, Verrett (good but always injured), MGIII, Tillery, Murray
3rd – 6th rounders still on the team: Just KA!! (The rest are current players still on rookie deal: Adderley, Pipkins, Kelly, Drue, Reed, Stick, Alohi, ’21 & ’22 class.)
I was very impressed with matt money smith saying it like it is.
All solid points by the two commentators! They are staying what most true chargers fans see…..the other teams are not respecting the deep ball threat because we do not have one. Justin’s still hurt and are receiving core is decimated. I was hoping they would pull a veteran receiver at the deadline but nope …..
Lets just face the music…the end is near … the team did nothing during the bye week . We did not trade for a wr ..we did nothing as if the team was good and healthy….smh… right now everything is in Stanley’s hands if hes a leader or a gangsta he will rally up the team and make a hell of a run to the post season and shut everyone up or he’s just blowing smoke and talking smart like he special but he ain’t nothing but a faker….bolt up …bolt family…
