That Ravens defense if kind of scaring me. They’ve always been able to at least stop the run OR the pass. There last 2 games though, it looks like the other team can run and pass at will. Maybe it’s the injuries. I guess the days of the shut outs are gone.

Im not as worried. Sure, I think we’ll see some gaps because now we gotta rely on backups and young guys. But overall this defense is still fast. Minesota did their thing in the 1st half =, got almost nothing second half. This defense can be good enough to win a Super Bowl, but i agree that shutouts arent gonna happen with this team. Not this year anyway. But my goodness is this team gonna be impossible to deal with in 2022

@Matt Mooda The Ravens defense gave up what, 41 points to Cincinnati? Then the Bengals lost to the Jets and got blown out by Cleveland. I think there’s a problem with the Ravens defense somewhere.

    Jeremiah Seavey

@Giovanni Osbourne yes my thoughts as well, next year when we are healthy we are going to be elite, this year is toss up with how we start slow, but with our two RBs coming back next year they can not stop this offense, I foam at the mouth thinking how we would be if Dobbins and Gus was her

@Clint Walker Okay, so… first of all, you can’t just generalize the whole game because of the final score. Yes, the defense gave up big plays throughout, but that game was 20-17 in the 4th quarter before Cincy pulled away. When a game is a blowout and a team scores multiple times to make the end result appear closer, without any realistic chance of winning, we call those ‘garbage time’ scores. Why do we not think of this the same way? You wouldn’t have known at the start of the quarter, but that game was already over at 20-17. Why does it matter that the Bengals continued to score after that?
Secondly, divisional games are always tougher than most Ravens fans give them credit for. I probably will never understand the mindset most Ravens fans have that we should always go 5-1 or 6-0 in the division, that we should never lose to the Browns or Bengals under any circumstances, and if we do, it’s somehow an indication that the team as a whole is deficient in some way. Come on. For one, give the Bengals credit for straight-up outplaying us, and for two, let’s not act like the story that whole week wasn’t about how Burrow had never beaten Lamar and how the Bengals weren’t ready to compete with the so-called ‘big boys’ yet. Remember how it made us feel when everybody did the same to Lamar for not having beaten Mahomes, and how good it felt to finally do it? That was our Super Bowl. This was Cincy’s. They didn’t just want to win, they _needed_ to, and they put everything they had into it, from planning to execution and effort. We’ll get ‘em next time.

It scares me too, because Jackson gives it his all week end and week out. The focus use to be one The Ravens Defense, but lately it’s been placed on the shoulders of Jackson to carry them most of the time 😳

cory

Good stuff coach. On the last run play PQ plays it incorrectly. Seeing a lot of that from him this year unfortunately.

    Matt

Time stamp ? He played pretty good. The long run by Cook was really Bynes’ fault he played that incorrectly. Queen was playing Strong side on that play but he plays a lot better on the Weak side so who knows, maybe it could’ve been prevented

    cory

    @Matt 2:22
The edge rusher has backside contain so PQ shouldn’t have cut inside of the guard and kept scraping over top.

Nice work coach

Rick Scott

Thanks for your breakdowns coach. And thanks for all you did while you were the Ravens coach. My only issue w/you while you were the Ravens coach was keeping Matt Cavanaugh as the O.C. when and as you know our offense was horrible yet you kept him around. Sometimes a coaches loyalty to one of their coaches winds up being a detriment to the team. If the current Ravens had a similar defense to the 2000 defense there would no doubt be another Super Bowl Championship this year. Go Ravens !!

Controller Force

7.7 WOW!! Y’all like coming in here and scouting?? Look nice don’t they? See we have an offense with a POCKET passing QB.

RomeoU

Come back coach and lead the offense! Roman is too predictable these days
