I love our culture. How many other teams have their former all-pros come back and hang around consistently? Between Thomas, Steve, Luke, Greg, Jake, etc., it’s awesome seeing these guys STILL even years after being on the field. Bittersweet 2015 memories. To quote Andy Bernand, “I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.”
The first half of 2018 was truly the last hurrah of the old guard. Seeing all 6 of our captains that year being gone by 2020 was rough. One thing I will always give Tepper respect for is bringing back Smitty into the fold after that bad breakup in 2014. Smitty has a glow in his eyes when he starts hyping up the Panthers on NFLN
