The interior can’t run block and the tackles can’t pass block, Foles has no mobility at all, and Nagy is an awful play caller. With a good coach and a mobile QB, and a upgrade at least one guard and one tackle spot to bring in some pass pro on the blind side and some run blocking in the middle this could be a Super Bowl team.

@Mustache D. Luffy Will see. If they don’t. You have a long rebuild with Tribusky( he can’t read pseudo cover 2 like defenses) it shows in his game mgmnt and a long in the tooth Foles. If you go 8-8 your in a bad draft position, because not too many 4th yr college ready to play NFL players coming out. So your hands are tied. Also, with those very good defensive players, some of those guys are going to leave for more money. Why stay when they can go get paid and really win.
@Phillip Payne there are several players (especially at qb) that seem like they’ll fall in the bears laps. Offensive linemen won’t be hard to find in the 2nd Round either.

Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson have big contracts and a few other players are tied up. Their also good at depth with Roy Robertson Harris, mario Edwards and a player named nick Williams even if he signed with another team was very good with them last year. This team is in a very good position on defense
@Mustache D. Luffy No team drafts a QB in drafts on short intervals. The Bears dilemma to simply is: we do not want to tie up large salary cap money on a high draft choice QB….which they will not get. Look around the league. There are a lot of BAD teams. The whole NFC east and etc. They won’t get a high 2021 draft pick to trade up. You won’t be able to trade up UNLESS you add on a young good defensive player on the front end of a contract. QB’s takrle time to develop. Your O line is where you should start then trade for a RB. Chicago should have paid Lavion Bell good , not BIG money then you would take the pressure off your QBs.Give him a 3 yr contract. Now, still under the salary cap draft a OT or OG and train him next to a vet. on the line. He’ll learn real quick when he has to do double teams on guys like Donald etc. Plus you control your salary cap. Remember good young players follow the money. Now you can get things done. Signing Foles was a desperation move. Look Dallas. Too much money to 2 players. Dak hurt. Dallton QB. The Bears in the same dillema.
@Phillip Payne the bears have a 1st round pick now and the bears weren’t going to get Lawrence or fields unless they’re in the top 10 (maybe 7). Trey lance isn’t that good but QBs like Kyle Trask and zack Wilson I’d look at either being at the end of the 1st round or in the 2nd Round. Both quarterbacks look pretty good and there’s potential for them to get someone late.
I agree with the o line but running back group is fine. Montgomery is a decent runningback that can help in the backfield (it’s the o line that’s holding him back) and Tarik Cohen once we get him back next year. Besides RB are best found late in the draft compared with the beginning especially if you already have someone at the position. Drafting a RB in the 5th round should be fine and we don’t need to trade for one.
Bears aren’t actually in Dallas’ dilemma lol. The bears are laying $9 million for Trubisky and $8 million for Foles, Dak Prescott is getting paid $31 MILLION. Bears are paying $17 million in QBs while cowboys are paying twice at much 34 million. Bears are a lot better than the cowboys lol, they didn’t restrain their money at all here.
I blame Trubisky for this lossed, if he didn’t sit to the left side of the bench Foles would have had 5 tds.
@Paria Canyon My Panthers need a qb also. And Trubisky played at UNC and would do well in NC. I thought he played very well in Chicago, and the team did better than expected, considering what they have. Chicago has never been able to devolope good young qb’s.

Foles is no magic man, he needs protection and a coach that can play towards his strenght (more RPOs please Naggy) but he did help them beat the Panthers and Bucs, games that the Bears would clearly lose with Mitch.
They have one of the toughest schedules right now, facing top teams week after week.
Any QB would have problems with so little help against such tough defenses, but only a moron would prefer a bust than a Superbowl MVP.

When Foles move the ball without Huddle and Nagy stop for the play calling at the bad time. Nagy broke the momentum of his offense.

@Sasuke Uchiha I have been unhappy with play calling for many games of the Bears. An average Bear offense is to eat up the clock and score whatever points possible and giving the defense time to rest/opposing offense not keep momentum. I’m not expecting the Bears to be making 30+ yard passes and having shootouts. I don’t have enough experience with football to know what exactly needs to happen with our current players to improve on offense. I really do think Naggy is a part of the issue. But I also did acknowledge that Rams did an incredible job when punting the ball to have Bears at an incredibly hard field position in addition to another great defense.

Unfortunate the Bears biggest flaws had to be exposed on national TV tonight. The defense still played a good game, but the offense needs work. Play calling was arguably the worst it has been all season. Entire group needs to get it together, should also probably be active in the trade market for another playmaker/lineman. Also, somebody please get Ted Ginn off of lung duties, he used to be good but how it’s hard to watch. All in all, the Bears showed that despite them playing pretty poorly, they can still keep it competitive with good teams. Rams played a hell of a game, good luck the rest of the season, maybe a rematch in the postseason?👀

@Rob Roux I agree with the Nick Foles statement, I did not like bringing him in as well. He was terrible in Jacksonville, and really just has been a situational guy throughout his career. But, they can clean it up, they still have 3 games against the Vikings and Lions, which they should win. They’ll be around come playoff time, whether or not they’ll show up and perform is up to the offense and coaching.
