Play Calling is absolutely killing the progression of this team. Zero adjustments at halftime. Absolute insanity…
I hope the staff worked on situational awareness over the bye. We have lost both leads(trying to slow the game down when we have a lead) and risked player injury(playing Herbert with cracked ribs and forcing guyton deep down by 4TDs) with bad situational awareness early in the season. I think this is the biggest hurdle for this team right now.

Glad money isn’t a coach…says Herbert clearly isn’t himself because of the injury then calls for more Herbert runs. Also says the o line gets pushed back on run plays then calls for Carter sweeps which never work. Never.

When Justin is banged up, he isnt as accurate or mobile. If he isnt going to be mobile, Defenses can pin their ears back knowing the routes will be shallow and that he ISNT going to run…..that’s a big head start for a D. Now add in the loss of weapons, the lack of speed at WR, and the demolition of a great O line due to bad drafting and standing pat with Storm and Pip facing down a 17 game Super Bowl run. Now Herbert is hurt and struggling? Maybe DONT spend draft capital on a Right Guard (slightly higher value than FB) when your NEED is at Tackle? If you think a late round rookie Guard can play Left Tackle, you should see Trevor Penning for the Saints! A GM who is half awake would know that. Now Herbert is hurt and people are giving up on this team halfway through the season. When your O line doesnt work, you cant move the ball….NOW YOU KNOW. Draft accordingly….and dont waste first round capital on a RIGHT GUARD FFS.
