@Yedenable o-line still weak. as 2 of the suppose starters are sitting out. plus willis imo has been struggling against Vernon and Garret. which i can understand Garret. but veron not that good of a pass rusher. most of his sacks with the Giants were pretty much against weak tackles and or were gimme sacks where the QB ran towards him or step up into him.

America no. Bakers problem is his inability to dissect and process a play fast. He’s erratic and have terrible decision making.

Vince M he put up numbers one year calm down and stop acting like he is a proven nfl superstar or something. He has POTENTIAL and he needs to grow with the Browns because his performance has been just as inconsistent as the management of the team so far, Baker and the Browns need to prove they can grow together.

Not only did he put up a thousand yards last year with a quarterback that played bad a terrible head coach and a sports hernia but he’s only had one other year in which he missed over half a season that he didn’t get over 1300 yards lol. One good season. He’s averaging 1200 yd a year six touchdowns a year and over 60 receptions a year for 6 years and that’s with missing over half a season lol

@Ethan Stewart exactly what year were you referring to? He’s a top five wide receiver by every NFL experts standards but Joe blow on YouTube says he stinks and only had one good year so it must be true lol.

He had over a 1000 yards playing hurt all year with the worst head coach in the history of football and no line lol.

michael hammond yeah that’s true. But with an improved O LINE I would like to see him scan the field in games this year.

@Joseph R nope..he’s not a one read QB….Lamar had the benefit of a great not good offensive line. Even in college when faced with pressure Lamar had to scramble and not make any reads. Scrambling and then finding someone open is not “reading the defense”. Had Jackson played for Brown’s last year with their “lowest rated protection” line he would have had even worse numbers since he’s only marginally accurate, he does not throw receivers open…so really you could say that Lamar is a one read QB…who scrambles when pressured. Easy to hate on Bake and be completely wrong but no QB is great when they have to run to their right on almost every passing down. Look at Lamar’s losses, they weren’t because of the defense rather it was because he couldn’t make the throw when he had to.

Hopefully with the combinations of the O-Line protection, play action, and Nick Chubb Chugging along like a freight train..all together will give Baker more confidence, rhythm, and deeper reads in his vision. Its up to the coaches to continue to develop him, and give him options when things don’t work. I think the big thing we’ll see this year is RUNNING THE BALL, and ALOT of check downs

Vince M plus if you watch the games from last year the play calling was the worst I have ever seen at any level. They set up screen passes off of pass plays and basically had Jarvis and Odell run vertices or 15plus yard developing routes. Baker was not set up to succeed last season. Even if he struggles a bit this year he should be allowed time to develop in the same system for more than a damn year

@flashstache I agree 💯!!! Short quick passes was always his strength. He’s accurate ASF! Our line got worse so u make him hold on to the ball forever lol. Play calling was awful!! Running flea flickers on 3rd and 2 or deep passes. Got two great RBS and they thro the ball three straight times inside the five. Just awful!! We should’ve been a running team and set everything up off play action. This year with Chubb and Hunt and two monster TE it’s gonna be hard to stop us once we get rolling. Still worried about LT tho but he needs time too.

Super Bowl caliber teams is going to choke off those “short” passes and running lanes and force baker to throw 3 interception a game.

You need to be able to pass downfield to go deep. Something baker doesn’t do well.

@Joseph R Chubb had a big day against the Ravens last year. Now with Hunt and the improved o line, I expect a big day from the running game!
