My take away is one drive from both QBs is too little and the Oline needs more work. Screens and Draws will be Bakers best friend. Matt Corral is the 4th best QB on the roster, he’s way behind.

@The Truth right, 4 head coaches tried, various offensive coordinators, a solid o-line, tier 1 receivers, best running back duo in football and not a single one of these “Browns” were able to make baker anything more than average. That is the truth.

@kevin wiseman Not a QB in the league would be a good QB in Cleveland. Guy had a new coach every year and various O-coordinators. This constant change in coaching isn’t a good thing for a QB. This is a bad thing.

To me, it boggles my mind that Baker looks as good as he does. Sam has had WAY more time to get comfortable in the organization, with the staff, and with the playbook. Baker slung the ball well, looks decisive, and looks healthy. I’ll take a decisive QB any day of the week.

That’s what Browns fans loved too. For some reason the past few seasons, particularly in 2021, he had a lot of happy feet and double pumps throughout the season.

Good initial performance. The only thing I didn’t like is it seemed like Baker was pressing and trying to do a little too much, but that’s part of his personality which is a good/bad thing.
Baker (with the Browns) stated early-on “I’m not a cookie-cutter QB” and, for good or ill, he has remained steadfast to that motto. But make no mistake with Baker, he is one tough SOB and he has a leadership style that is sometimes polarizing. For me, I like my QB’s like Mayfield both chippy and with always something to prove.
He’s a real Pro,…I think he’s going to be ok!….Browns/Carolina fan….Higgins went alright too!

I personally think he’s going to do very well. He had four head coaches in three years, and three of them were christ awful, and the fourth was the pro footballl version of Woody Hayes. Now that he’s healthy, and in a new environment, I think he will show more of what he can do. Probably only a one year stop though. My guess he proves to be good, and moves on to a better situation where he has a really good career as a top ten QB.

I am a Baker Mayfield fan! I think the Browns did him dirty! They got rid of him after he had a so so season due to an injury, in exchange for a sexual predator! I hope he does really well in Carolina, and I don’t think Watson will ever be the same in Cleveland. He’s missed too much playing time! Cleveland screwed themselves, and Baker is in a better place now! Go Baker!!
Baker was hurt all season and was only 2 games or so out of the playoffs last year.
Watson had a DeAndre Hopkins and had a good record. As soon as he lost Hopkins he went 4-12 2020. Think about it Hopkins makes a mediocre kyler Murray look great and as soon Hopkins got hurt that team struggled hard-core. In the long run if you don’t have a great receiver it’s hard to accomplish goals. Baker had a broken down obj who’s still looking for a team.
Baker is average Watson is not simple math lol teams are going to upgrade at every position wether you like it or not
@DaV 27 baker played hurt last year but people like you are delusional. They called plays a pass heavy offense last year with chubb and hunt in the back field both combine getting like 24 carries a game. Stefanski is a garbage play caller. In the long run you’ll see by the end of the season baker better then the rep he’s getting.
