idk how people can hate this move, got him for dirt cheap, he’s on the last year of his contract, if it works we got our QB if not, Matt gets a year of sitting behind baker than starts 2024. Not to mention baker is at his best when he playing mad and he’s got a big reason to be mad

Baker got my wife to watch football. The guy was an amazing college quarterback, never anyone more exciting. He fired the players up. I hope he does great at Carolina. Make me very happy.

@David Belacic Brady had 4 less interceptions than Mayfield after his first 4 years of starting. However, Brady had a great defense. Cleveland’s defense is nowhere near as good as the Patriots defense. There’s a lot of Hall of Fame QBs who’s thrown more picks and turnovers in their first four years.
Have you seen the turnovers for the last two years? Derek Carr leads the way with 36.Josh Allen at 34. Goff and Wentz at 31. Ryan, Stafford, and Darnold at 30. Lamar Jackson at 29. Brady and Mayfield at 28. Mayfield made huge improvements in turnovers the past two seasons compared to his first two seasons.
He’ll prove that he’s still one of the best in the game!

I am a Browns fan, so have mixed feelings about this ordeal. I wanted Mayfield to be our long-term answer for years to come so bad. It just did not work out for a plethora of reasons. I have been the type of fan where it’s Browns against the world, so when a player usually leaves the Browns, I tend not to care how they do the rest of their career. I can’t say I feel that way about Mayfield, though. I kind of hope he rekindles that magic he brought in 2018 and 2020, and the Panthers upset the Buccaneers in one of their matchups and the Panthers find themselves fighting for a playoff spot late in the season. I will definitely be keeping a close eye on Mayfield’s career.

I have followed the Cleveland football team(s) since 1963 and rarely have seen the excitement that Mayfield generated in the Jets game when Taylor went down. I think Baker has an opportunity with Carolina and hope he does well. Maybe someone in the Panthers organization will send me a hat. I can always use another hat.

Carolina…..I’m a browns fan and have watched ever one of bakers games with the browns……the dude can play…..and what’s most…..you will love the way the guy plays…..he is a dude that you want as your quarterback……he fights and grinds at all times…….I’m telling you …..even if you guys aren’t getting chips…(I think Baker can do it)…..hell look at nick foles……I will be getting me a Baker Carolina jersey because Baker is a blast to watch…..you’ll see……don’t judge it…..if he starts for you…..it’ll be a fun season…..there won’t be a game that you don’t feel like watching.
Browns fan here. Congratulations to Baker and the Panthers. True Browns fans know what he did for the team and he’ll always be appreciated for it. You guys got a good one. I might even be rooting for the Panthers, just a little, week one haha.

I’ve always been a Browns fan first and foremost, but I’ll ALWAYS support Baker. Panthers fans promise me. Promise me you’ll treat Baker with more respect than we did, not matter how you think of him. Also, get him and Higgins on the field TOGETHER. Higgins was BETTER than most of our other receivers and we chose NOT to play him. That’s what a dumb organization does. If you guys want Baker to be at some of his best, then play Hollywood 🤟

I’m really excited to get baker as our quarterback and he’s only 27 years old. How can we as Panthers fans not feel extremely lucky that we got a previous #1 pick @ quarterback for the money he signed for?! I can’t speak for everyone else but when I heard we got baker it felt like the lottery!!🤑😁
