Not even a Baker or a Browns fan but he gets too much hate
The only reason he gets hate in my opinion is cuz when u have 2 great recievers who look like they have unlimited talent a good TE and a good RB with an improving OL and ur QB makes that talent look limited then its a problem, OBJ highlight with the giants dont even compare to his with cleveland he had about 3-5 great catches last year and the rest was easy, Jarvis Landry had a few athletic catches of his own, Nick Chubb was phenominal yes OL wasnt that great last year but how many good DL had they had to against Ravens twice,49ers, steelers and like 2 other but still baker has got to find a way to win
Agreed. Especially given the organisation and the state it was in when he got there. Give the guy a break. And about him not being humble enough.. people need to make up their damn mind. They want their QB’s to be poised but aggressive, show humility but be a leader, be humble and have confidence in their abilities, be quiet but have a presence, be competitive but deal with loss in a calm way. There is always something to complain about regardless of how they behave. How about we let them be their selves?

gnielsen07 Delpit won’t be the same when he gets back either. Nobody ever comes back 100% from a torn Achilles. We just gotta hope Ronnie Harrison gets up to speed soon because he’s not a bad player. Karl Joseph isn’t good and Sendejo is past his prime. They gotta get Ronnie Harrison in the mix as soon as they can. They gotta spend next offseason and this season via trades if they can getting their LB core fixed and getting Denzel Ward some help back there

@Kevin Price I’ve been a Browns fan too long to genuinely expect anything other than for them to play football, any win is just a huge added bonus. Their best chance is to take care of business against the teams that they are supposed to beat, and pull out an upset or two against the teams that you mentioned. Like every team, they have difficult games and easier games on their schedule

They also rushed for over 200 yards and had 3tds in the ground. Thats probably a bigger factor than Mayfield.
I’m happy that he came out and had a good performance. I think some of these so called experts are too quick write him off.

@JMaster98 having a top 5 back does not guarantee consistency. The O line has a big say in which teams run well, but yes having Hunt really make their run game dangerous.
@MrWalkwaySc2 I just think he played to the team strength which is run oriented. Baker just isnt a 35 attempts kind of guy week in and out. for now he is better suited working off play action. Also the Ravens are a good team in every phase. we’ll see in a few weeks, dallas and washington will be a good test 🙂
303Smilezzz yea, the ravens are no joke on defense. And he definitely doesn’t need to throw it more than you mentioned. This run oriented offense will let Baker improve as a passer again.
@MrWalkwaySc2 yea i think so. Not every Qb is built to sling it like Rogers or Maholmes and thats ok. Play to your strengths. Titans made it pretty far last year doing just that.
