This is Zappe hour once again!

Jimbo_Jumbo

You can’t drop zappe when he is playing this well

    King Darious

@Keton How did the Oline perform during those game?

    Suicide Watch

@Keton the offensive line got Mac Jones killed until after the Ravens game

    Keton

@King Darious Yall are making excuses for a subpar QB. lol

    ClayMac

Yeah there’s no way they can bench a QB playing like that. Outside of Josh Allen he had the best QB play of the wknd by FAR.

MusicthatsStrange

I know it’s only been two games but man this kid is crazy good

    david zellow

He’s shown me more in two games than Mac has for two years. Zappe is MUCH better.

    Doof Beaver

    @KingBleezy 2-1/2

    KingBleezy

    @Doof Beaver *2-3/4 🤡

ryan

It actually feels like we can throw the ball down field with zappe

    Bill Shun

The o line starting to jell and weaker opponents doesn’t hurt.

    Ryan Delaney

    Mac is still your starter

    Omar

@Ryan Delaney This is Bill Belichick we’re talking about, the guy who benched Bledsoe for some 6th rounder from Michigan. Zappe’s not getting benched as long as he is playing like this, even if Mac is healthy.

    ASanitationStompOut

5900 yrd. gunslinger in college…yes, yes you can.

    Viewz From These Streets

For being a rookie Zappe sure makes the rite play consistently. He doesn’t forced passes either.
He’s gonna be the starter there’s just no way you can take this kid out as good as he’s looked in these past 3 games especially this last one where he looked comfortable.

Steven

mac played well last year, so I think he deserves another shot when he comes back. but if he doesn’t play great I think he’ll get benched

    Edgardo Rivera

@Justin McCarthy you do if it’s a better driver, which Mac is. Y’all let recency bias change your mind too often 🤦🏽‍♂️

    JJA1987

    Fickle Fan above

    Steven

@CITY OF THE CHAMPS I hear that! I mean I’ve been saying since 2 weeks ago that I like zappes pocket presence more than mac. When zappe is out there, it feels like all the recievers are involved, Henry, Parker, Smith, Bourne, etc. He’s great at reading his options quickly. My comment was saying more from logical perspective, overall I’m torn because I need to see what zappe can do against good teams. Because mac looked great against shitty teams just like zappe does now. Only time will tell

    Pesco

I think it’s Zappe’s position to lose at this point. He’s just been playing well for 3 games now. 4 TD’s, 1 INT. Mac Jones had 2 TD’s and 5 INT’s, and we all know Belichick hates turnovers.

M M

Zappe looked great and our receivers made some great catches!!

Ian Wynyard

The kid’s got guts

    James Nguyen

    And a sick arm

PattyTheBaddy

I just love how he get got every one involved

    James Nguyen

Yep hes smart and keeps his defense off the field unlike mac

    Blaise

Bradyesque dare I say? This man put up video game numbers in college. People who watch the MAC have known this guy is a monster.

Maddiesfun

He moves in the pocket better than Mac and throws the ball with more velocity to his receivers

    Mike H

this is the biggest difference. Zappe drives his throws. Mac usually softly lays his throws. Those fractions of a second for the ball to get to the receiver is huge. Hopefully the obvious now QB competition brings out the best of both players

    James Nguyen

Tight windows etc mac misses the wide open routes

75andBreezy

Wow. He does not look like a rookie. Especially that last play, moving up in the pocket. Half the QBs in the league would have panicked there.

CJ Claffey

His pocket awareness and the way he stepped up (the last play in the video) fired a bullet to I think Meyers was absolutely beautiful. That is probably something you won’t see Mac do. Plus the velocity he puts on these throws is just wow.

    Mike H

    Thornton! Rookie to Rookie connection!

    Dropkick Ninja

    @Mike H Great to see.

    Break From The Herd

I just don’t see “velocity.” He doesn’t float as many balls as Mac, but his arm appears to be an average NFL arm.

Castleofall

Impressive! Well done Zappe!!

Mike Griffiths

Zappe has the touch on the ball you just can’t teach. It’s instinct. I’ve watched all the highlights on Mac and Zappe. Yea Mac on highlights has a better arm but misses throws due to lack of that instinctual touch that Zappe has. Mac lacks the instincts that Zappe has in the pocket also. Zappe is a gunslinger. I’m getting off the Mac train here, Zap is better. Not sure what Bill will do. Mac is good but doesn’t have that something.

david zellow

I might have to go out on a limb here and say that this kid is a phenom.

Go pats

That last play was special idk how he felt that edge rusher then fired a bullet. Well done

An Anthropomorphic Talking Gourd

That catch by Parker is insane, that’s exactly what we all envisioned when they traded for him.

    Al Bundy

Yeah, so when your beloved Mac Jones learn how to throw a back shoulder fade route, let me know haha

    Doof Beaver

@Al Bundy Don’t need Mac and Cheese anymore.

ClayMac

I don’t see any way you can bench a QB playing like this. That was a close to a perfect game as possible.

Pesco

Zappe’s passes are amazingly diverse. He’s got touch, he’s got speed, he’s got the bombs, and he’s smart in the pocket and on the run. 70 passes, 51 completions, 4 of which are TD, and only one pic. Really great stats for an off the bench rookie. And in his very first game off the bench he took it to OT against GB. I like Mac Jones, but Zappe is just amazingly impressive.

Og Loc baby

That TD to Henry that was called back in the first quarter that should’ve been a TD because he was pushed out, impressed me as well.

BradyOT

It’s amazing that bellichick can make due with what he has. There isn’t an ounce of actual amazing talent on this team but somehow they made the playoffs last year. Now imagine if he got an obj or smth, or a star corner for that defense what this team would be. We are legit an amazing qb and wr away from taking this division back tbh.
