Austin Seibert Interview | 2020 Training Camp – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

Austin was a brilliant 4 year kicker/punter at OU with over 90% touchbacks on kick-offs, he will get even better with experience.

IDK if this will necessarily translate to his demeanor on the field while kicking in a real game, but Austin just SOUNDS waaaaay more confident in this interview than he did during interviews last year. He sounds like a veteran kicker and he sounds like he’s been a Cleveland Brown for 10 years whereas last year he always sounded kinda timid during interviews. He legitimately sounds like a totally different person this year. If that confidence translates to his play on the field this season then he’s going to be a great kicker for us!

*Edit* LOL! I wrote this comment before the video got to the point where Josh Cribbs asks Austin about “the mental part of kicking” and Austin talks about specifically focusing on the mental part of being an NFL kicker by talking with the team psychologist. Well, like I already said in the original part of this post, it definitely sounds like talking with the team psychologist has helped Austin because he sounds extremely confident in this interview…he sounds like a different person compared to the way he sounded in interviews last year.

It’s nice to not have to worry about our key special teamers. We could/should have a top 5 unit overall this season.
