It’s tough between him and Strachan. Maybe keep both and get rid of Coutee?
Pittman, Campbell, Pierce, Patmon, Dulin, and Strachan are my guys. Harris isn’t bad, but I think the guys I listed have higher upside. And I agree with the person above me, cut Coutee. Not enough hustle in him.
Every game matters is the mantra, where is the effort apart from a few players. Sam can hold his head high.
Colts should of played their starters for a half this game and sat the next bc if there is an injury the guy will have an extra week to recover I don’t see the logic in Frank when it comes to this situation?
Playing the starters right now is just giving them reps. This week they got that in practice with Detroit. Reich is not showing anything other than vanilla in the preseason game plan. Its all by design.
I’m eager to watch the Colts 1st teams too.. but no need to rush anything.
Because the real benefit this week came from the joint practices, where they could control what they wanted to run and work on. Playing the 2s and 3s early helps them figure out those last roster spots as soon as possible. Risk of injury right now is low on the priority list. They will have two full weeks between the last preseason game and Week 1 in Houston. There’s only so much you can accomplish in the preseason with your starters since the game plan involves very little scheming.
