They stepped up with Payne deflecting that pass, but this was a defense that gave up 7 yards per carry and had several big pass plays. As much as I love ’em, I’m not giving this to the defense. Not only 7 yds per carry, but anyone they put in the backfield got 7 yards per carry. So, no, I’m giving this to the running game.

@Brian Whiting fair enough. When I was in high school we gave out two game balls, one for offense and one for defense. I would definitely give the defensive game back to fuller or Payne. Offensive game back should be given to Robinson. The dude was running like a truck today.

As a Vikings fan, I will tell you this much: That Washington D is definitely Top-5. They’re for real. And I don’t see any way the Giants hold off the Commanders for a WC spot. Two teams going in opposite directions. In fact, I have the Commanders beating the Cowboys in what could be an impactful Game 17. Commanders are just a tough, gritty team, and I don’t think anyone sane wants to play them in the postseason.

@Brian Whiting oh absolutely that was running into the punter by the falcons, I wasn’t disagreeing with the call I was just comparing it to how the penalty crushed Washington’s hopes at a last minute winning drive a few weeks ago against the vikings and a penalty in the kicking game sealed the victory for Washington against the falcons. It was a great win by Washington and believe me it’s been a long time since I’ve been so excited about Washington football, had a good year here or there over the last 30 or so years since the last Super Bowl win but I don’t think we’ve had a team loaded with this much talent everywhere in a long long time. I will say that I hate to see any game whether it be football or basketball or any other sport come down to the refs in the end. Yesterday was the right call definitely, it was plain as day. I guess when the refs get it right I’m absolutely fine with it, what I should have said is I absolutely hate it when a game comes down to the refsat the end and they get it wrong and they have definitely gotten some wrong before, especially when there is replay that shows the whole world the refs was wrong but your team still gets stuck with the L, that’s a terrible awful feeling. Let’s Go Washington, keep rolling gang
@willznuts the cowboys beat the commanders when they didnt have brian robinson or chase young, i suggest you understand that. the eagles only got brian robinson to deal with defensively, with chase young yout offense will have an issue when hes only 1/3rd the threat when we have 2 other defensive linemen that are equally as capable. now imagine 3 really good defensive ends. the cowboys will have a problem if the commanders stay healthy
Just to clarify I’m not saying that the Cowboys can’t lose the game against the Commanders, I’m just saying we’re more of a bad match up for them than vice versa. We’ll take away their passing game and they’ll shut down the running game, that leaves special teams which the Cowboys are overall better in that aspect as well. My point is that if the main commentator can proclaim that the Commanders will beat the Cowboys, I can sagely and confidently state that the Cowboys will most likely win as well.

NFC east and AFC east, they both are the most competitive division of the league after so many years. It’s really awesome to see all the 4 teams of a division in the playoffs. Maybe it won’t happen but the effort that all these 4 teams have put into their games is something precious.

As a former long time Panther fan, I gotta say that watching Heinicke be successful and having fun while he does it makes me extremely happy for the man. He never really got a fair shot in Charlotte, but obviously river boat Ron saw something there too. Good to see a likeable underdog get the time and stage to shine.

Good game to my Commanders. 💪🏽 It’s crazy how a team starts off at 1-4 and then wins 6 of their next 7 games. What a comeback story. The energy has definitely shifted since Heinicke was named as the starter. That energy even woke our defense up. ATL has been the first team to actually run against us successfully so far. I knew this was gonna be a tough game, but we did what we had to do. Let’s keep this streak going. #HTTR 💪🏽 The best plays of the game was @1:24 and @10:41.
