So this season I’m a Falcons fan with an explanation, I graduated from the same high school that Marcus and Tua played football at in Hawaii. I have a Atlanta cap and a Dolphins cap. Can’t wait to see how Marcus does this season, he’s still only 28 years old. I think that he has a solid 5 years left to play at a high level. Desmond Ridder had a very good college career as well. Some fool in the media asked Marcus how does he feel about Desmond trying to take his job. The favorite stupid question asked from the media. Of course Des want’s to be starting QB, what QB coming out of college into the NFL doesn’t want to compete for the job. Media always asks that question to stir things up. Falcons are going to start Marcus. If Des can beat out Marcus along the way then that’s just the normal progression in the NFL. If Marcus stays healthy and plays well, let’s say plays well enough that the Falcons gets into the playoffs even being a wild card, then I would expect the Falcons to start Marcus for another season. We’ll just have to see. I don’t think that Marcus has a problem at all with competition for his job. Every QB in the NFL has faced the same challenge, it’s called healthy competition.

It may not come together totally this season but you can see the moves being made, the one year deals to see who wants to be on this team and the building for something.
