Lamar would not put us in cap hell. Most of you don’t do your research and it shows smh. The cap situation is what it is bc of 3-4 bad contacts. Fowler, Julio, Ryan, Mariota(can save 12m more this off season when cut) … Lamars contract would be over 4-6 yrs I’m sure, and the cap for up every yr. So what seems big now isn’t very much once time and seasons pass. Mahomes has a half billion dollar deal and still annually isn’t the highest paid, so leave the numbers to Terry, who has done an amazing job thus far. #RiseUp

@Mazzi Ozborne you do understand Lamar wants over $250 mil right? Cap hell over a 5-6 year span(if he lasts that long). He’d be getting paid around $45-$50 mil a year. That’s what Mahomes makes essentially over 10 years. Ryan made 40. Mariota getting cut would free up $7 mil not 12. We still get the penalty for cutting him. So in all once some of these 1 year contracts come off the books, we’ll have around $70 something million in cap space and people like you want to give over half of it to a QB AGAIN? We just got out of cap hell with Matt. Why would we do that again when we can FINALLY BUILD A TEAM?!

@GodlyZ bro, Mariota does free up 12m and Frank’s is taking up unnecessary space tbh. We’re in a position to get a superstar and y’all would rather deal with an unknown. You act like draft picks are guaranteed good players. Cap continuously goes up, those contracts wouldn’t have been as bad had Corona not hit and caused the NFL to lose money and lower the cap or if Matt and Julio had been winning ijs . I’m thinking if CJ Stroud there at 8 and DL Jalen Carter and Will Anderson are gone there’s no way you pass on him.. I honestly think that’s the happy medium between this whole Lamar thing. Take a high quality super star shot if he’s there and let him and Ridder compete, loser is back up , 2nd round get best available DL hope Ika from Baylor is there 🤞🏾, 3rd get best available WR(I’m feeling BC Zay Flowers . . . 4th (2 picks) Draft LB and OL 5th get a scatback like (Mcintosh from GA) and idc what else they do after that…

So what you think? There rest of the team would it course be built thru resigns and other b- b+ signing in free agency especially CB.
I believe we are going to trust our development and our process and this is what I would do if I feel in love with a 1st round QB …

Who in the division will be better without a QB? Yeah yeah Saints beat us twice but they still have an older team with no future at QB as of yet. Bucs are finished. Panthers are finally rebuilding. We jumpstarted everyone in the division already. None of them have cap space or crazy draft capital. Division will be up for grabs just like this season but we are way ahead. We can make some noise in FA and the draft. Our opponents next season aren’t as bad as this year. If we get Flores as DC we might actually not have a bottom 5 defense again given we get good personnel. Big things could occur for the team over the coming months

@GodlyZ that all sounds great. However, pieces have to be added and be able to gel/develop in OTA’s, Mini-camp, and Training Camp. All of those things you mentioned take chemistry and time to get right. Terry ain’t playing madden in his head when he is putting together the team. He is being realistic and is being patient on the gun. Same goes for Arthur. That is why we had the success we had this 2023 season. They are actually getting quality guys and are developing the team the right way.

I can see us getting 10 wins also 9 and 7 might get us into the playoffs, u see how weird this season was, if we play are cards right this off season we might come out greater than expected and might not need much some 2024

If we could get one of those solid d coordinators we been interviewing, draft some solid defense or FA and properly build around ridder algier and Drake then the league (or Atleast the division) is ours for the taking
