Aston Villa v. Chelsea | PREMIER LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS | 12/26/2021 | NBC Sports

Kevin A

Can someone please tell me why lukaku is not starting anymore.
We need to start scoring non penalty goals for real.

    Jiamie Kori

    Injuries and then COVID. Unlucky

    Hdiwksjfjwbjddv

@Joe Delgado I had a stroke reading that

    Adam Lorentz

@Joe Delgado Yep. Same reason that Fernandes gets so much hate. People need to stop hating on people who MAKE penalties, it makes no sense. Like you are literally hating on someone for doing a good job. And also yeah, Pulisic gets hate just cuz hes American. As an American its annoying seeing good players like Pulisic hate just bc hes American

    IK Emmanuel

@Joe Delgado you’re talking nonsense man!

    Bayaz

He’s just working his way back into full fitness. He is getting more and more minutes.

Hellboy Chezze

Much needed win

hycho8925

Pulisic is 500 times more effective on the wing with room to run. Lukaku really came through today

    Kelvin

@White Broccoli he wasn’t playing as a lone striker in most of those games where he was class. In my opinion he plays better right behind a striker, similar to Havertz

    hycho8925

@White Broccoli his original position is L wing

    Jesus Saves

Whoever is reading this Jesus loves you and died for your sins so you can spend eternity in Heaven with Him, so turn to Him today!

    T0X1C Manatee

@Joe Delgado what’s your definition of a plastic fan

    red

    @Joe Delgado I’m a plastic fan but I’m a proud american 🇺🇸 I support my fellow compatriot!

Fahmi A

We really needed this win!!

Alexander Khlapov

Lukaku is a mountain. Villa plays very nice football👍

Prince .Egbom

Chelsea still needs to improve. Man city ain’t joking .they even more dangerous than last year when they won the league

    Jiamie Kori

This is true. Don’t forget, the team is also unstoppable when the squad is healthy

    JayCFC

Agreed. We still have a long way to go.

Anipaptions

Puli was very involved after moving to right wingback. Reece James had a very unlucky own goal but I think still an okay performance

    chance2413

For some reason, half of our fans want Pulisic out, when he’s one of the biggest difference makers everytime he’s on the pitch

    Trent O’Sheilds

He was right wing. We switched to a 4231 when lukaku came on.

    Backstreet Lian

@chance2413 I am the biggest Pulisic fan but i can understand why they want him out. Too many injuries, not consistent enough, and whatever other reasons. However, he is still young and not in his prime years yet. Plus, he hasn’t played too much games on the left wings, where he’s most effective. Most of our attackers need to step up and produce more output for a club like Chelsea. And if Pulisic doesn’t do that, i’m afraid those people will get what they want

JayCFC

Man having Lukaku back is a blessing. Pulisic also needs to stay on the wing more, he’s much better out there and also puts in a good defensive shift.

    no further west

@Norman Williams oh i see thx. they moved him to wing or to the 10?

    no further west

    @Preciousss oh cool thx

    Red Hood

Reece is a good defender, but he is very predictable when attacking.

    Red Hood

@Obi Mc-anthony Reece is Excellent at defending, but he is very predictable when attacking. that’s why we need a player like Sergino dest who is very creative and fast like pulisic.

MOJA

10:02 This dude Lukaku is a monster on the run…. those defenders had no chance strength wise and pace wise

    Juan Lopez

@Jay H Try to hold on for dear life lol go for the legs xD

    Backpack

Hes lucky conte shaped him back to the player he had always been after man u had practically ruined him trying to make him into some sort of a target forward lump of wood

    OilMan 713

I watched that part multiple times, I still can’t believe how much of a head start the defender had and still lost the pace and strength duel with Lukaku. He made that defender look silly

    F___ Perry-Cordele

    @Jay H foul

    Jose Tavera

@BenOfTheday_EditZ Bro, both were running without the ball, that’s enough head start bro.

Alexis Lopez

That run at 10:02 reminded me of that one Hazard run, too bad he had to get fouled

    Adenuga Beloved

    The one against arsenal?

    Alexis Lopez

    @Adenuga Beloved yessss

Juan Lopez

Lukaku is a monster when he starts running at you like that, like a train coming at you and knowing you cant stop it. I feel for Target and Konsa lol

    RG SHALOM

forreal. They got bulldozed lmao XD

Chuffa 11

I think Hudson-Odoi is proved to be an extremely valuable player for Chelsea he can play on any other team

    Strikingblazer

He needs to learn imo. After a loan to dortmund or a club like that he will turn into a monster

    Ainsworth Austin

@zlimfitVEVO some fans need help,CHO would not make man city nor no where near LiV

    Fabian Carrillo

    @Dr3wD0608 😭😭😭😭

    zlimfitVEVO

@Ainsworth Austin CHO has lots of experience under his belt long before foden, bukayo saka even mason mount. He’s not improving and well below these players standard. He’s just so unreliable and not on Chelsea’s level imo.

    Ainsworth Austin

@zlimfitVEVO he way one dimension very fast and foolish, not much end product whatsoever, he can’t shoot to save his life, always try to place his shots or even if he try shooting, the ball goes out the bloody stadium..can’t rate him never have and never will do..until he changes his attitude, he just gonna be the same

Hrtz

technically we did score all the goals lol

good to see the squad slowly getting back into form

Mike lantern

The game was already won, lukaku should have taken the last penalty to boost his morale and confidence some more.

    Chris Kueter

    Agreed the dude earned it!

    Giorgio Ruhupatty

I’m pretty sure that in one of the interviews, someone said that if Jorginho is on the pitch, he’s the penalty taker

    friendsshare

Dude got kicked hard he didn’t get up right away. Better someone who isn’t shocked by the foul to take

Jason Gonzalez-Orterega

Seeing Pulisic in yellow and black brings back good memories

McBayron

Jorginho s back can go any day, he looks stiff out there, but i appreciate and see that he wants to help the team even if he is injured.

flawedhypothesis

Chelsea has fantastic WFs in abundance and maybe the second best target man in European football (behind Lewandowski). I say, just keep whipping those crosses in and Lukaku will deliver as much as any other CF on the planet.

Marc Mwaku Mbay

Kante is just something else, absolutely brilliant player. Smart runs, smart/simple passes, great at defending, literally runs the midfield

    Neg Jean

Why hasn’t he played more this year? He’s their best mid fielder

    Bananasupreme5

    @Neg Jean he’s been injured

    Eden Limon

@Neg Jean he’s aa brittle as glass

    Neg Jean

@Eden Limon hard to believe since he was on the pitch consistently for France and Chelsea for the last 2 years

    Marc Mwaku

@Eden Limon there is no athlete in any sports that have played every single games for their teams without being sideline by injuries. Does not they’re soft or brittle

Alexx Cloud

I’m American. So I love Pulisic. But having him start up top over Lukaku is crazy. Every player has a down year. Lukaku is one of the best ST there is. He proved it today.

Sam Lam

Wish Lukaku was able to score that 3rd goal. It would have been as amazing as Hazards against Arsenal. Their runs was amazing!
