We still don’t have the right personnel I mean we’re really playing with a lot of back up players right now that’s kind of limiting Arthur Smith play calling

YEP! Those short little slants and screen passes are literally just a waste of downs. They know we are throwing short and it doesn’t open anything else up

That’s play was not a factor in the end result of the game….not even a lil bit

@Chris Hill Considering our O-line gives up top 5 pressure in the league, and Defense gives up Top 5 yards in the league, He was still winning games and putting up 100+ QB ratings in many games. You are still talking about the past. You obviously doubted him before he even played, which proves my point that you didn’t even watch the games.

@J he was doing that because he threw minimally and 90% of those were short passes. Any pro player could do that. His current line is no better than what Matt Ryan had most of his career. Matt had over 4,000 yards every season. Made taylor gabriel, Harry Douglas etc. Look like quality receivers. Kyle Pitts went from a unicorn with Ryan to a quiet blocking mouse with Mariota

@J I pay to watch every game., Nice edit btw. You dont know me if you did you’d saw me sticking with Mariota most of the season until I realized he was incapable of being a starting nfl qb. He looks like a college rookie still with flashes of greatness being in his 8th season that isnt going to cut it as a starter.

Then I rewatch every game numerous times except that Bengals game… couldn’t put myself through that.

​@Chris Hill With Ridder, they do all these weak short slant routes and screen passes that don’t go anywhere. I was hoping that would prove to you guys that Mariota wasn’t the problem. It’s those play designs/calls. Ridder has been practicing with Byrd and Hodge for 14 weeks and has no chemistry with them? It’s clear they didn’t have any pass plays that they have been practicing together where they could execute perfectly. I wouldn’t Expect him and Drake to be on the Same page but they really tried to force it there almost giving up 2 INT’s. Those are all coaching decisions. Yes Mariota missed some wide open balls but he is under more defensive pressure than almost any QB in the league. Did you not see Ridder running around all game with no time in the pocket? We cant protect Matt Ryan that’s why we had to lose em.

Coach has had two years and no money do you even keep up with what’s going on with this team? Can’t get everything you want with no money depending solely on draft picks. Most those dont turn out as planned not just for this team every team has hit and miss picks. We barely had enough money to fill this roster out with lower than average players outside a handful of guys. Realistically one shouldnt get their expectations up until the 2024-2025 season.
