Everyone and their dog saw how Tampa couldn’t cope with the Falcons running attack. Why or why would you not stick to running the ball more in the 2nd half?! They resorted more to passing which played into Tampa’s big guns and they feasted on Matt!

    They actually ran about equal amounts in both halves. TB just adjusted and shut it down. 11 for 102 in the 1st half, 10 for 20 in the 2nd half (not counting the muffed snaps).

    @kodanarmadillo True but Matt Ryan was under tremendous pressure every time they have a pass play. it was logical to stick to the run and use all your running backs in tandem. TB passed 10 straight to start the game? terrible play calling from Arthur Smith who is fast losing the little credibility he had in the first place!

    @Mas I think he is only losing credibility as an offensive guru.. plays look very vanilla/Bland… and IMO he doesn’t use Pitts as much as he should

    Watch the first Tampa Bay game of the season. There was a third and inches at the end of the third quarter, Cordarrelle Patterson was hit for a three yard loss. They also tried throwing the ball on 4 and 1 in that game and failed to convert. The falcons run game in short yardage has been non-existent and understanding how Tampa packs in tight and plays the run, he probably felt more confident in the bucanneers being extremely aggressive in the run at the goal line and leaving an open target for a TD completion. Not trying to run at least once is questionable, but our offense all season hasn’t been excellent in short yardage situations

I thought Arthur Smith was going to be a good head coach. I’m guessing he’s because his head stays on the play sheet and he’s not watch the game itself, he’s not seeing the action on the field. If this keeps happening, our season will be over and it will be time to start evaluating the roster.

    We need a coach like the hoodie who can make the most of what he has and build on it. I need this coach to start looking at the field and get his head out of the playbook. When you having success running the ball, run the ball. When you are having success passing the ball, pass the bowl. When you have a QB like Matt Ryan, trust him and allow him to call his own plays. He’s on the field and has the feel of the game.

This team is the damage from the Dan and Thomas Era. The reason why the Falcon’s can’t any productive moves is because they have over 25+ million in dead cap space. We are still paying Truffaut 6 million and unknown players 2 and 3 millions and they not even with the team.

Why doesn’t this guy want people to ask him questions about the lack of offense. He gets an attitude when a reporter asks a Legitimate questions out our offensive struggles. He doesn’t want accountability but I thought that’s what he was building his team on accountability.

He needs to give it up and quit. Before the 4 games of the season he lost our top 2 receivers and signed no receivers to replace them. He’s coaching with our o line is getting Matt Ryan hurt and his def quits on him every game in the 2nd half. And it was a very bad trade him for Jones. Have respect for ur self Arthur Smith and quit. We have no off. Or def because he doesn’t know what he is doing.
