They dropped more interceptions than we did yesterday

@Matt Mayor agree why I didn’t respond to them. This league is about consistency. Mariota has been consistently bad, the last 3 games especially. He’s showed a sliding back instead of forward progression. I’ve backed Mariota up until that performance last night.

Other than running for his life l personally believe he’s losing his confidence and that combined with not putting him in the best position to succeed with his skill set which is putting him on the rollout when they play-action. @William Paul bubba you dont know me to say ” Their ” minds. I have openly all season backed Mariota and called for Ridder to stay benched. Mariota was never meant to be the fixture at the QB position, hence being labeled bridge quarterback. That loss last night all but put us out of playoff contention. We need tons of help from Tampa and the saints plus a rabbit’s foot to go on a winning streak. Now the playoffs are all but lost, why not see what Ridder has. You’d rather wait until next year or the year after? What if Ridder isnt the guy, where would we be then. The same boat as now. Who wants another losing season, two, or three due to inadequate quarterback play. Mariota can’t make the passes to be a NFL starter. Tennessee knew this, Oakland knew this. Here you are knowing better lol after he’s proven them right week after week. Throwing off his back, sailing over Pitts head, taking unneeded sacks instead of throwing the ball away. Literally ran out of bounds for a sack. Come on man you not watching the same games I am. It’s one thing to not be a good starter, to control the ball, clock and manage a game. It’s another to consistantly do things that put your team behind and ultimately lose. Any player at any position would be benched for repeating this action game after game.

So what if Ridder comes in a does poorly. Right now he’d have zero expectation vs starting a season. We could atleast see how he reacts and what could be done during the offseasons to try and insure he has a better chance during the upcoming years, if we choose him to start. Imo I’d still rather have Bryce Young or Hooker. Ridder played in a sub conference with little talent and got manhandled in the only game he could have proven himself against bama. He’s a 3rd round draft pick that 31 other teams past on atleast 2ce, in one of the worst qb draft classes in recent history maybe in history. Other teams besides us and Pittsburgh needed a qb. Now’s the time with nothing left on the table to see what Ridder has or doesn’t. We’ve had 4 years above .500 the past 12 years. No bueno

@Jordan B. of course not literally after game….saying the team at that time hasn’t been to nfc championship game since 04 and Mike smith drafted great players and had falcons a #1 seed a few times & nfc championship game & still was fired ..Arthur smith resume isn’t going to keep the job if he keeps this up

I get the team had a bad performance all the way around but Mariota has been bad his escape ability and running ability is good yes but he can’t pass he’s paranoid he can’t settle in he has shown us time and time again he can’t win the big moments some of our losses come from that stop defending the guy. Ridder was one of the QBs in college with the most wins he’s mature and is aware of his weaknesses. He has a stronger arm than Mariota and I feel is more accurate than Mariota and someone like that who I feel could he mentally ready could open up the offense.

@D3V we have a top 10 offense in the league, and Marcus Mariota has alot to do with that. Does he make mistakes yes but at the end of the day Marcus Mariota and this offense have put up numbers. Top 5 Rushing offense top 10 total offense.

@Dwayne P what’s that mean with a losing record, out of the playoffs? MM didn’t put together a good drive until 3 minutes was left last night. Cant throw the deep ball we have 2 tall catchers that were drafted for that very purpose. Not to block 60% of the time, but to win 1on1 battles. MM cant even hitem wide tf open.

It’s not just last game if yall have watched the last 3 games Mariota has been taking steps back rather progressively getting better. Also better be top 5 rushing if you run 60% also better be top 10 if majority of your passes are 5 yards. You can thank our play makers for those padded offensive numbers. Whopping 200 and something yards a game through the air.

@Dwayne P like I said his running ability has helped at times yes, but also part of the run game has been Tyler allgier, Caleb Huntley and CP. Mariota choked against LA rams, he had major turnover issues at the beginning of the year. It’s obvious he can’t throw the ball downfield. Last night they were crowding the box because they know Mariota can’t throw. There is no reason drake London and pitts shouldn’t be involved. Mariota has cost us games and I did back him up at the beginning of the season but it’s time for a change.

I bet if mariota had have hit those 3 or 4 wide open players on deep runs we would have put at least 15 more points the scoreboard. He’s not playing well, this isn’t about fixing the team with a click of your fingers. It’s about changing what’s not working until we get better
