    I’m sad that Marcus is a humbling and caring person towards HIS teammates and respect for the coaches. Being disciplined to RESPECT of OTHERS CAUSED HIM NOT TO perform at his BEST 😥..
    He ALWAYS TOOK BLAME FOR LOSING and ALWAYS Gave Credit TO HIS Teammates when WINNING…
    I think if given another chance he will not be the same BUT, the negative people will make sure he will NEVER START AGAIN 😥…

    Although he’s been cursed from the very beginning by haters and liberals. They think like your professional couch warmers with this world’s values. Ridder is and will be a good to great quarterback I believe with the right team and coach. I liked how he played at Cincinnati.

I imagine they told Mariota he won’t be back next season on his current deal. I have no doubt he has a knee issue but going on IR makes it easier for him to go get everything checked out so he can hit free agency with a clean bill of health. He did his part here. Ridder gets his shot and Woodside can run the scout team.

Btw, the sound of that reporter typing during press conferences is damn annoying.

    He’s wife is due soon with THEIR FIRST BABY 👶 and being the caring person he is for her and his teammates had concerns.

Coach Smith I believe you held out making a QB change as long as you could. When everyone was calling for your job for not doing this sooner you were giving Mariota every chance to prove the outside noise wrong. I am forever grateful for the fun and wins that Mariota gave us and I wish him the best. I hope Mariota still sees value in himself and doesn’t throw himself into a dark depression. I do feel that you could have been his last chance at being a stater for any team in today’s NFL. The fact still remains, he has a NFL arm, NFL scrambling ability, and the mental ability to learn a play book and run an offense at game speed. Some people want to win so bad that they forget the things that they are not losing at. Also we did better this year in the QB position with personal, game production, and budget. So we have definitely won after moving on from Matt Ryan, and you gave Matt Ryan a full season to show himself to the league before trading him. I believe in your decision making. I hope with Desmond Ridder at the helm you will be able to show yourself to be a better play caller since you are looking to get more production which means if the play before works and keeps things going you can keep dialing up plays to get in the endzone. I’m hoping for the best for Mariota Ridder coach Smith and the team overall. Also, it’s mighty funny I have not heard a peep out of Dean peas. What is the condition of the defense? Where is my team culture and that fire 🔥 😤

I hope to hear coach Peas getting everyone fired up again soon. We need that and I don’t appreciate the media and the FCC trying to silence him. We need more not less.

    @Kelvin Woods I recommend anytime you see a trade happen go online and look at the details. Often times you have to wait a day because they don’t always release the technical stuff behind it till a day or so later.

All of this really helps evaluate the future. It’s a stretch run he succeeds, the draft to build around him. If it goes bad it gives them a general perspective on how to go forward.

He is for his players and has them hold themselves accountable like men should. I like Mariota as a person. From what I’ve seen, he’s handled himself with class and was easy to root for. That being said, this is the first time I’ve been excited about this team all year. Expect there to be rough spots for the rookie, but once he gets settled in, his upside is off the charts IMO.

I agree with this move. Marcus was always a one year qb. So since this season is falling away from us we should see what we have with Desmond. If he’s turns out good then it’s the right move to get him ready for next season. If he looks like a bust then good now we know and we can go ahead and keep up our search for Aurthurs franchise qb for his sheme. In this off-season where we are gonna have alota money to play with. Aurthur and Pees have done a hell of a job with what they’ve had and can really build this off-season. And to Mariota thank you for coming in and putting in work for our team as we try to figure out our new identity. As far as some of our fans saying Aurthurs trying to save his job hes not worried about that. He knows our owner has no intentions of firing him. Our owner Smith said he would give Aurthur several seasons to build his vision for our new team. Our fan base does alota talking and alota the time they dont know what they are talking about.
