I like Coach Smith…my only problem was with I would have gone for the 4/1 with CP. If you didn’t make it…at least would of gotten the blessing from the fans that you really tried.
Also should’ve let Allgeier bring that thump, that’s a fresh big body to tire out that defense

I think it’s debatable, but punting is probably better. They only needed a fg to win, you’d rather them have to go further to get there than not get the first down.

It’s really tough on the team and fans especially to lose that game in that manner…to the Saints. Coach is still feeling it and the fans are still dismayed. I have to say that the reporters can ask better questions…I would’ve asked…”with both teams losing the opening game, how does it affect the preparation in facing the defending SB champions in LA avoiding being 0-2?”
Ask him if Alaska State would punt the ball on 4th and 1 for the game against someone like Alabama or would Alaska state go for it.
Reason that question is relevant is because the falcons obituary was written as he said before the season started. As the underdog you don’t punt it with 1 yard for the game

@Dwayne_UnderConstruction I agree with you except this. The Falcons WAS blitzing when Winston started beating the blitz. With quick passes. Then the Falcons loosened coverage. Then being a vet he beat some 2nd year guys. But Pees shoud never have stop coming Wiston I not as good as he looked in the 4th
@Steven Gibbons I’m good with Jamis beating the blitz and completing 5-6 yard quick passes…but when he had time to throw, he was dropping 20-30 yard bombs on us. Maybe we need more blitz disguises…but we have to keep the pressure on, and the coverage tight.

100 percent! Keep that pressure. Jamis caught fire and they weren’t hiding what they were going to do and we got conservative. It was humiliating to blow that lead and not keep the ball at the end to run clock out and they didn’t have anytime outs left! So frustrating.

I rewatched the game. Boy the first 3 Quarter we looked good and it wasnt perfect. But we was up over 10 points. Im still excited about this team. We never see 4 sacks in a game.

I rewatched 2 times and I must say I agree. The lines were really good. It just seems like the little things hurt us the most. My theory is that one day that has to end if we keep playing like this. The ball will roll out way! I like coach and his attitude. Can’t wait to be at the game this Sunday since I live in California. Y’all keep it up out there in Atlanta and I’ll hold us down here!

You clearly see improvement. Anybody who knows what their looking at can see that. There are some growing pains for Coach and players that will arise. At least your not trying to figure out how to pass rush or run the ball or how to stop getting sacked. He’ll be fine if he’s able to look objectively. New Coaches struggle with decisions. He will too as he learns his job. Remember some of this is a learning process for him too .

You are leading by example by your words and actions. You can tell that the entire team has bought in. I have confidence that Coach Smith & the Falcons will learn from this and improve.
This is a new team, 11 players from 2020 on the field; that means 42 new players since 2021 and 28 new players this year. With all of that, we saw continuity, and aggressive play. There were mistakes, but this is not the same team from the past. If they stick to their game plan, but make needed adjustments, the Falcons may get to where they want to be sooner than anticipated. I hate that they lost and to the Saints, but this team is younger, hungrier and better.
I’m going to keep the faith. We looked much improved. Still a little concerned because season is going to get tougher however, the Dirty Birds can do it. RISE UP Guys!!

I like Terry and I think he’s done a good job so far, but not to hot about Smith and Pees. Just the overall attitude they’ve possessed after losing us the game on Sunday just didn’t sit well with me. However, they still have time to hopefully learn from it and become better, making our team better in the process!!
