@redbluffruffian1 not happening just once. Happens every game. Mariota is trash and shouldn’t be starting. Plain and simple
qb’s do miss throws. But, I’m sorry MM consistently miss open receivers in critical situations. This inconsistency put pressure on the defense as well, Aren’t we s run first team? Does that mean run in the first quarter, then abandon???

Great team with a lot of talent but Little mistakes keep us from succeeding and if we can eliminate the small mistakes we’re a good team.

This is not a great team . Good team yes but not great.
Marcus is Marcus, I get it. But there are other things wrong with the passing game to go along with Marcus. Dalmen is not a good snapper, recivers often give up on routes, and the LG position is not that good. Those are reasons I don’t think it’s time to bring Ridder in. Im not taking Marcus’s side. Marcus is what he always had been. Im just saying it’s not all his fault.
Best coach we’ve had in my opinion but please don’t shoot yourself in the foot art. I want you here. At least put some packages with Ridder or something. This is ridiculous.

50% of this teams problem right now is not having Elijah Wilkinson or any LG capable of pass and run blocking…call me crazy but this team looked way different when he was starting..MM isn’t helping with his decisions…but the Oline isn’t capable of letting him think with that hole in the middle
I can’t lie i was riding with Marcus until he overthrew his 6’6 TE when he was wide open SIX YARDS away from him.
He overthrew more than 1 time 3 times in one game and that last throw way down field why laying on the ground a call back interception was that in Smith’s play book?or was that something extra🤒😰
To be fair and honest the teams preparation by Smith and his staff was not very good these past two games. Smith admitted that “scheme” was an issue in these past games, that’s on the coaches. When there are back to back blitzes where the QB has zero opportunity to move up or roll, nobody to “chip” the pass rusher, who’s fault is that? Is it the QBs fault? The scheme did not account for the defensive strategy. Panthers outplayed and outcoached the Falcons in this last game. But I have not lost confidence in the Falcons but you can’t put all the blame on Mariota. OL can’t block the DL consistently then what will the next guy say Ridder who is a rookie could do. Here’s the answer……nothing.

As an ATL native and follower of the Falcons for 45 years, I can honestly say there is nothing to like about this team whatsoever, all thanks to the ownership and management.
These two past games we should’ve won.
