This was the best season since 2017 with a bad roster. No Ridley, inconsistent pass rush, inconsistent o line, and we were still in the hunt. Smith and Fontenot are the right guys to lead this team going forward, believe that. All we need are like 2 pass rushers, one more receiver to pair with Gage, Pitts and Ridley, and improvements on o line. We have a good amount of cap space and enough draft picks to get better. Next year will be a good one Atlanta fans! Believe it!

@Caveman Rissy totally agree, Ridley’s yet another Draft Bust by the previous GM. Even if he wanted to come back I wouldn’t take him, Dude’s weak in the head. Send him packing and sue for either money back or to get outta any future money owed.
@Ga PYRODAWG you’re a clown!! he is far from done… he stepped away to focus on getting healthy and when he is right he will be back. baffles me how in todays world a person who acknowledges they are struggling mentally and is taking steps to get better will still be called “weak”. nothing weak about trying to get help and be healthy again
why would we sue him? why should mental health be treated any differently then a physical injury? if he isn’t ok to play he shouldn’t play period.

@antcantcook I think the most important part is the wins and losses columns, the fact we have been able to grind out more close wins this season is promising. Our biggest test next season will be consistency for sure

McGary is just a liability man. back to back games where the man gets destroyed at the line and opponents come all the way from the right side and strip sack Ryan. You keep on placing fullbacks and TE’s to help the man block, you know it’s an issue. We can’t even run the ball on the right. Where’s the accountability? do we not have another RT on the roaster that you can give some reps to?
all that defensive effort just to punt the ball at the 32 yard line…..kick the field goal. You took away all our defense momentum.

For anyone out here upset with the team and their season you have to understand that this team has won games they would have lost last year in close contention. The falcons don’t have the best offensive line unit, besides Kyle Pitts there aren’t many offensive skill players to help Matt Ryan to make plays down the field. And when he was. Calvin was no where on the field. The defense has been fighting but needs an infusion of more talent and youth. Once this team builds the trenches and gets some of their books freed up from still paying guys like Trufant and Julio. We are deprived of funds. Let this team truly build and watch what product Arthur Smith puts on the field. I’m here for it next season. I believe in this staff and the guys they build with.
