Boldin saw a team-high 13 targets and caught nine passes for 98 yards against the Rams on Sunday. It was the first time in four games that he failed to reach the end zone, but he was still able to remain a highly productive fantasy contributor.
The return of Michael Crabtree helped keep things wide open for Boldin with regard to defensive coverage. While he may ultimately see fewer targets down the road, it’s going to be about quality and not quantity for him. Boldin will still remain a favorite target for Colin Kaepernick and should continue to see plenty of looks inside the red zone.
