I think they did a great job against a great team and more so the defense was the problem but had a few good stops we only lost by 3 pts only 3rd loss this year how you going to blame coach get real
Play calling sucked, o-line sucked at blocking, and defense forgot how to tackle and not pressure the QB. Was hard to watch. I love my team too much to see that happen. Pat slammed his helmet and that speaks volume. Go chiefs
@Aquila for the most part there is not. But Bengals and bills are starting to Figure the Chiefs out and it will not be good for them come playoff time

Yes our Def really didn’t show up which seems to ALWAYS be the case vs the Bengals it seems. We need better corners and LB’s that can actually stop runs and passes (Bolton is a beast though)

Tell SPAG like it is coach, he is weak as his players, you could have 4 super bowls if it wasn’t for this weak defense, every time the offense has to carry them out.

Yes. The cap is suppose to explode, be big this year, so it defense and some tackles for offense.
Facts…In all three games the chiefs lost, the Bengals had to come back to win those games and that falls on the defense.
They need to fire Spag I do not like him as a DC. Our Def has outright stunk this year getting turnovers and that hurts us. Tired of the team putting all the weight on the Offense.

No, lots of worries. This was the excuse in the Super Bowl, this was the excuse in the AFC game last year, the fact is this team can barely beat the Bills, can barely beat the Chargers, and cannot beat the Bengals. They are not going to make it to the Super Bowl if they don’t fix this and fix this fast. Weird that defenses can figure out how to shut the Chiefs offense down but the Chiefs defense can’t figure out how to shut any other offense down

@JJ Well… the Chiefs are 9-3, third best record in the league, so they can apparently figure out how to shut other teams down. And that’s with starting 6 rookies on the defensive side of the ball. You’re problem is that you apparently don’t realize there are other good teams. Bills, Bengals etc. And those teams are always going to bring their ‘A’ game against the Chiefs. And don’t act like these other good teams are whupping the Chiefs… every loss has been one score games. You’re problem is you apparently think, unrealistically, that the Chiefs should go undefeated. NFL season is a marathon, not a sprint.
Andy can we work on the defense shutting down the first downs and trying to stop the run at the scrimmage line?

Something has to happen with that D line when it comes to playing the Bengals. The last time KC played the Bengals, Burrow was a week removed from getting sacked 9 times in the same game. Then KC didn’t touch him for an entire AFC title game. Same thing this year, 3rd most sacked QB in the league and somehow KC’s D line can’t get him to the ground. It’s wild.
Part of its our D backs not covering well. The D line was real close, several times. Part is Joe is hard to bring down due to his size & elusiveness.
Spags thinks he’s cuter than he actually is. Hasn’t been an elite coach anywhere he’s ever been, time to let him walk.

Spags needs to go! Even without a true WR 1, offense moves the ball down the field consistently. DEFENSE is the issue. I know we need an OT but defense must be priority in the draft. PERIOD!

@Joshua Woodley Maybe but Spags will never run that type of system. He is like the gov that says we will use trickle down economics even though it doesn’t work and the reason is because that is all they know.

Defense needed attention and a major overhaul!!!
The only overhaul our Def needs is a new DC Spaggs is not as good as he thinks he is.
Its either missed F.G’s, XP’s, missed assignments, missed tackles, fumbling, dropped TD passes, not getting pressure on highest pressured QB, muffed punt/kick returns. So many mistakes. When was the last time the team played a sound no mistake football game?

its not that the Chiefs cant sack them like other teams, its that the O-line has been getting better and better every week…..since the Browns game the Bengals have only given up 4 maybe 5 sacks in the last 4-5 weeks. The O-line is coming together!
Reid said it best “we’re a young team”. We just don’t have the ability on defense to stop the better teams. We’ve skated by barely with wins except for Arizona & 49ers who were plagued by injuries. Our talent is just not there yet. Maybe next year with more experience when it comes to these good QB’S & WR’S on other teams. I have to stop being blinded by my love for the Chiefs but I can see now we’re in trouble deep in playoffs this year. Miami would light this D up. JS
Don’t count on it
