Browns have 16 fantastic players.

Njoku

@suarez suarez nice list I was using McDowell over DPJ
…and Landry over Johnson D’Ernest
@DCUPtoejuice Landry not worth 15 mil though Johnson salary is 500k
I got faith in Berry
I did too until he said he feels good about Stefanski’s play calling and it’s one of his strong points. Maybe Berry knows talent but if that’s his true opinionthen he doesn’t know play calling either.
@Jim Harris Lol you’re not going to throw your QB or HC under the bus. Go watch the QB School on YouTube. So many wide open receivers not getting the ball. We blame it on drops but we had 1 receiver (DPJ) in the top 20 in drops. Folks blamed Odell yet he’s not on that list. Baker bottom 10 every major stat. We win despite his uncharacteristic play.
@Sbrabson04 I’m not saying Baker wasn’t part of the problem. That is obvious to even Baker backers and Baker himself. But why would you not use a healthy veteran QB, Keenum, at least for a few games and let Baker heal up some. That’s on Stefanski. And running an empty backfield on 1st and 2nd down with less than 8 yards for a 1st down when you have RB’s like Chubb, Hunt and Johnson to at least show you might run the ball is not showing that play calling is your strength. Please tell me why Stefanski would not give a 2nd string rookie lineman some help against Watt, who led the league in sacks, and let his already hurt QB get beat up?
he is a ivory league stooge ,like stafantasy, couldn’t handle odell, drafting bust ,anthony swartz, left guard willess, blew out to solid d lineman last year, for jail bird and billings on and on joe woods is the only pick that was good.
bust, this guy is a bum.running backs hurt every year system outdated since 1995,its a passing league ,not a running league.
First question:
“Will Baker be the starter next year”
Y’all GM:
“I fully expect Baker to be our starter.”
I love y’all GM, but just not a good look for making such a firm statement, only to have the Watson press conference happen today
1.] Start conditioning today
2.] For your returning core, maintain communication, team building, leadership skills
3.] Mandate mini camp attendance
@M I will say the only good thing that came out of this season is that next year is truly his last chance as a starter in the nfl. Unfortunately the browns will have him under center for this pivotal year. I think he needs to do a full 180 on everything from footwork, to knowledge of nfl defense. Needs a ton of work.
@Eddy Wright Baker’s NFL career isn’t near over, but be careful what you wish for … he might not want to re-sign and this could be his last year with the Browns. Don’t kid yourself, there are other teams who are very interested once he heals.
Of course Baker didn’t play his best with a broken shoulder & all the injuries, but a huge problem this year was all the drops which promoted lack of confidence …
@Southern Lady I mean im not gonna be mad if he plays well….die hard BROWNS fan. Just want my team to win. Curious what teams you think would trade for Baker tho…?
@Eddy Wright Depends on needs, but past interest:
>Sean Peyton/Saints. Drew Brees had the same injury @end of season after 5 yrs in CA & contract was not renewed. He had surgery, but failed physical in FL, then he & the Saints took a chance on each other after Hurricane Katrina (my family had 3 residences 3-10 ft underwater so remember this well). The rest was history, Payton brought out the best in Drew & fans cheered him @games win or lose. He thrived & reminded Baker of this. Drew is loved in NO & tough. 🙄
>Bilicheck/Patriots
>Mike McCarthy/Cowboys-#1 draft pick WR CeeDee Lamb is there & Baker’s home state. (CeeDee was freshman @OU Baker’s sr yr. Loved watching them play together & very good chemistry!)
There are more, but those three coaches are better suited for Baker’s gunslinger style & have a lot of experience.
NY & Washington rumored to be interested, but those are not as good fit for him, except he & WR Sterling Shepherd played @OU (great chemistry) & he’s friends w/him & RB Saquon Barkley.
Next yr if he plays well with healed shoulder (and gives it proper time to heal), he can free agent. Worried about receivers though.
He will excel with protection, faith & a few strong receivers. 🙄🏈
Overall translation: no one is safe lol.. compared to expectations, this year was an epic fail, top to bottom with blame not resting on any one person
Haslem won’t tolerate another dud next year that’s for sure. The Browns need a damn football coach.
Peace to all. AB, you gotta take playcalling away from Kevin. Please!!!!! Sincerely, a fan that watched playcalling cost us game after damn game. Peace

@theGod black i have no idea how come he ran the hell out of the ball in the 3 games without Baker yet didn’t when Baker was injured. It’s inexplicable
@Liberty Outdoor Adventures Peace to you. At least one of those games, Baker gave the ball right back. Hence the greenbay game. Still, he shouldn’t have been in the position to throw it. The play should’ve been run the ball. All the audibles should have been run plays. It’s Obvious he scheme run plays like he does pass plays. Which is why he needs to let the guy they pay as an offensive coordinator call the plays. The same few plays, wack formations & moving guys in motion to where ur running the ball wasn’t fooling not a damn person. Peace
@theGod black It is mind boggling that a football mind and Harvard grad can be so clueless when it comes to what is so obvious. Every time something is working, he goes away from it.
@Jim Harris Peace to you. You are so correct. It’s so damn backwards & frustrating to see this game in & game out. Every announcer saying the same thing. Run. The. Damn. Ball. Not him, just more screens & empty sets 🤷🏾♂️. Peace
And STOP having Donovan people Jones returning punts!! Just stop it. Damn it. Isn’t it obvious?! 😳😑😠😡🤬
I love the questions!
I’m confident for next year. Despite the adversity this year as well as the disappointment, I believe this offseason will finally give the Browns a chance to look at a bad season with a team and office that isn’t broken apart the minute something goes wrong. We will actually have people that have been here for the last two years look at the mistakes, players AND coaches, instead of giving some new guy from some other organization the keys to the car. I really want to see AB, Stefanski, and Baker figure it out next year because only then will I believe we have made it out of our browns “losing” culture. Just look at the steelers. Last year after they lost in the first round of the playoffs we thought there’d be no chance for them to get in this year, and they still made it this year (albeit barely).
TL:DR What I’m trying to say is, I’ve been a Browns fan all my life and I’ve never been more excited to know my team isn’t going to go 0-16, they actually have a chance to make the playoffs if they play their cards right and figure it out. With the pieces we have right now I believe we can do it again and with the office we have right now I believe it can be done more in the future.
@The Real Mad Titan if you say so 👍
@D M bro put the cables on means instigate an argument or fight, and I meant the other commenter. But now that we here… It wasn’t a coincidence that Bakers stats starting from him getting the hang of Stefanskis offense, all the way to the injury were getting better and better… Injury, then all the sudden it stops…I don’t believe in coincidence all like that bruh, Baker will swing back too…Go snag Garrett Wilson or Trey Burks and we’ll be golden
@The Real Mad Titan so you applaud a player getting injured? sick individual
@The Real Mad Titan 👍
Make “coach” give up the playcall sheet. Biggest improvement this team can make is getting “coaches” hand out of the offense
Why doesn’t these big football brains see this. It is so obvious that Stefanski goes away from everything that is working. At the begging of the season Stefanski said ” Smart Tough and Accountable “. How was he being Smart with his play calling and how is he being Accountable now?
“not playing meaningful football this weekend”. You’re not playing ANY kind of football this weekend.
I trust Mr Berry. I believe he knows it all starts up front with the Line. Hubbard/Conklin injuries and even Willis early season changed our whole season. When you have multiple players that playing at a professional level out of position some also rookies. Nothing but a disaster waiting to happen. No football here till the draft. As always Go Brown’s!!!!
Here is a Question: How many 4th downs did our Def give up as first downs this year???? Compared to how many they stopped.
THE REASON THOSE TEAMS WENT ON 4TH DOWN SO MUCH IS TEAMS DON’T RESPECT YOUR OFFENSE! BAKER MAYFIELD WAS THROWING INTERCEPTIONS, FUMBLING AND TAKING SACKS!
Produce A Quality football team instead of a Quality losing football team….Quality means meaningful playoffs and a Superbowl…
Browns had a great opportunity to win the division and have the first playoff game EVER at First Energy Stadium after 23 years in the league. They did what this franchise loves to do – find a way to Fail. When there is a will or a way, they fail.
The blame belongs to Baker and Stephanski. Baker shows he is selfish and continues to play when injured. Stephanski shows he is gutless and plays an injured QB instead of one of the best 2nd string, $6 million QBs in league. In fact, the 3rd string would have even been better than Baker as Mullens is a #2 on most teams. But NO – Browns had to find a way to fail. Playing Baker, putting together incompetent offensive performances for half the season, and handing the steelers 2 wins to inflate their record, propelling them into the playoffs for complete utter dominance over the worst franchise in NFL history since ’99.
I will say though, Browns won 34 games from 2009 thru 2017 in 9 seasons. Since Baker has arrived, Browns won 33 games from 2018 thru 2021 in 4 seasons. A vast improvement but still losers.
You should have stepped in and told Kevin to sit Baker till next season
We need more wrs and less tight ends
Hey, was real happy to hear the Browns come out and put an end to all the QB rumours and got behind Baker Mayfield publicly recently. I’m no expert but if anything I sympathized with the challenges he faced and tried to work through in an effort to keep everyone’s hopes alive and I think fans should appreciate it as well. Despite the fact that we ALL have things we’d like to improve upon and recognize there is always room for growth, Baker is still one of the first QB’s that have come along in awhile that makes me proud to be a long time fan in the club as a whole. Plus, I like his passion. It’s always exciting to watch him play. Would love to see him healthy and not sporting that ever-lovin brace. That couldn’t have been a pleasant or an easy experience in light of all the other challenges the entire league had to overcome this season for obvious reasons. I have nothing but admiration and respect for all y’all this year. Thank you for giving us all a few hours every week to actually look forward to guys and gals. Looking forward to next year already. God bless y’all and cheers from Canada ❤️
I know, when Baker is healthy, he is fun to watch! That’s important to many of us! 🙄🏈
IN ANDREW BERRY WE TRUST
Matt asked an intelligent relevant question & Berry gave a good answer. 👍🏈14.13
ALL organizations take on the personality of its leader. I’m a big fan of Stefansky, but there’s no doubt he comes off as soft like milk-toast and there’s many times I felt like the offensive line and others were getting out played a lot. Especially in the toughness department. I’m not sure how to explain the first year vs this season, but there was clearly a problem.
Also, it’s clear that defenses were loading the box and begging us to throw deep and we didn’t. When defenses didn’t load the box, (stupidly) like Green Bay, we still didn’t have the toughness to beat a very beatable team in the end. I just don’t know what they’re looking at?
milk-toast is spot on, he couldn’t motivate a fly
@Matt Flanagan Stefanski always want’s to show that he’s not panicking and under control. That’s a sign of being stubborn and is not going to motivate this team.
Joe Judge was full of energy & “motivation” why don’t we hire him instead
@Pooky514 At least he showed he had passion for the game. Unfortunately you have to know what your doing.
Bout to waste another year waiting on Baker to show progression smh 🤦🏿♂️
