Andre Roberts’ Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 10

A snoozing Arizona Cardinals passing offense awoke enough Sunday to provide a surprising fantasy performance from wide receiver Andre Roberts.

Few owners would have dreamed to start Roberts against the Houston Texans, which entered Week 10 with the NFL‘s stingiest passing defense. With a big egg sitting in the touchdown column, Roberts hardly merits much consideration against weak defenses.

Are you adding Andre Roberts to your fantasy squad?

Are you adding Andre Roberts to your fantasy squad?

  • Yes, this is a start to a strong finish

  • No, this doesn’t forecast continued success.

Yet the fourth-year wideout caught his first touchdown of the season against Houston, registering five catches for 72 yards. Before using a waiver claim on Roberts, look at his numbers and temper expectations.

After Week 2, Roberts had a four-week stretch where he caught three combined passes for 17 yards. The risk of him offering nothing on any given Sunday is too much to trust the inconsistent receiver.

If for some reason you were forced to start Roberts due to a heavy dose of injuries and by weeks, congratulations for stumbling upon a fruitful fantasy performance. One would think pairing with Larry Fitzgerald would help him thrive, but it hasn’t happened yet.
