@Donovan S he stayed healthier than the receiving corps last year doing more with less so yes I believe he could stay healthy. But with no weapons outside of Ertz he will once again have to do more with less. I hate to say this but Dallas is stacked, our defense isn’t even built to stop them. Why did we get another QB? @Mark Oglesby Wtf does that have to do with anything lol. Wentz played half a season with a broken back and I don’t see you giving him any credit for that. Whether or not a player is cleared for contact is totally out of the player’s control in the modern NFL.

Just to illustrate the example, rib injuries usually don’t present risk of further damage if the player continues when the bone isn’t displaced. So that’s an injury players often play through. But if you break something like your collar bone, which Foles did, or tear your ACL like Wentz did, you don’t have the choice to play through it. As Foles knows all too well from his own injury history.

Yup. We don’t need receivers corners or safety(s). What we need is another QB that runs out of the backfield so we can be entertained when Wentz gets hurt yet again and the seasons over by week 3.

Obviously Hill outplayed being undrafted because the Saints put a first round tender on him

The T. Hill thing makes some sense because based on what he has been doing, teams wanting to emulate it won’t find the skillset undrafted going forward.

The issue is this team can’t afford to pick a Taysom Hill type player. They have holes they need to fill to stay ahead of their division. Having a great backup can help them stay decent if injury happens, but neither of the QBs have enough going forward. They needed a receiver so they could focus on defence for the rest of the draft.

Edit: And no chance the Jags are trading for Hurts. They have their starter who just beat out Foles and have their own roster issues. As a result of that trade demand they needed Foles’ money to fix. Unless you mean they trade away Wentz for Ngakoue, Fournette, and a pick. Because Jalen Hurts is no upgrade over Minshew. He might be, but the uncertainty compared to what they have seen from Minshew puts Minshew ahead.

Mims was just such an obvious pick, though. Hurts is definitely your guy.

@Donovan S, so you think that if Wentz is injured, then Hurts will come in as a backup for this season? Right now Hurts is a below average passer with a below average arm strength. Even the Eagles admitted that Hurts has “unique skills”, not a passer.
