This pick, if Highsmith shows promise, makes us less dependent on Dupree. That is a good thing during contract talks, and a good thing if Dupree signs elsewhere. Even if we re-sign Bud, have 3 skilled rushers will pay off late in the season when guys are dinged up.
Next year when they pick an OLB in first round will also be a hint. I think this guy will only work up to be a back up if he ever plays.
