@cory vallad NO ONE and I can promise you NO ONE who studies the game seriously, by watching film, breaking down data, or a combination of the two thinks Jared Goff is anywhere NEAR the upper echelon of NFL QBs. The Lions would trade Goff right this second straight up for at least 17-18 other teams’ QB situations if other teams would do it (they wouldn’t).

The fact that Goff led the top scoring offense in the NFL one year and was near the top for another shows what a league average starting QB can do if he is put in a PERFECT and I mean PERFECT situation as far as O-Line, weapons, scheme, and play calling. That situation was made even more unique because of the novelty of Sean Mcvay’s particular brand of wide zone/11 personnel Shannahan tree offense, which other teams hadn’t quite figured out yet. We saw it crash back down to earth after the Super Bowl against the Patriots who ran that very heavy front, sell out for contain on the ends, out gapping/disciplined in run fits game plan and completely neutralized the Goff and the whole offense.

There’s a reason why teams don’t “figure out” Mahomes, Allen, Brady, Rodgers, (soon to be) Herbert, etc. It’s because you can’t figure them out. They will improvise and do something unpredictable and special that is impossible to “figure out.” QBs like Goff don’t improvise into special plays. They don’t transcend the system they’re in. You have to know this. Even if you are a diehard Lions fan, you know you’d trade Goff for the above average to Elite QBs any day of the week.

The only things the two have in common is their stat lines and they dont drop the ball. Calvin was bigger stronger and faster than anyone else on any team. Amon Ra runs perfect routes and is excellent at getting open when plays break down

Tj is a disappointment honestly wouldn’t mind getting rid of him he drops a lot of passes and he hits the ground as soon as he’s hit plus brings in flags constantly

@cory vallad Honestly,he seems to not be much of a factor anymore.
He doesn’t block all that well anymore and his recieving play has dipped out of nowhere. I thought Campbell would help him develop even better,but if TJ continues to disappoint,I wouldn’t mind letting him go in the slightest.
