Gotta love a comeback story 💯

David A

Glad to see Alex Smith elite once again.

    Itz Blueberry

    Agreed

    61996

As a fan of his, I’m very happy to see him being recognized, especially with words like, “elite”. So happy for the guy!

    Maurice

@61996 srsly though. i’ve been trying to convince people since his comebback season with the niners where he went 13-3. hated that he got benched for kaepernick. nothing against Kap, but i would have taken him over everything that came after him. but you already know ppl going to start hating on him again. they will say things like ‘yeah he’s alright, but 1 TD?’ or ‘we should have him for our team so he can mentor [insert some first round bust here]’. i think he has 4+ years ahead of him easy. how else do you recover from something like that and not have a healthy body?

Caden S

Alex is clutch!!!

Kieran Cooley

smith better win comeback player of the year

    hopscotch 5

    Totally deserves it!!

@Real Is Real Big Ben is having a better season, but Alex Smith is having the better comeback

    jbhardy1

Ignorant Steelers fans still say Ben will win it.

    Rick Valentine

    @Real Is Real 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Football Team

Comeback player of the year 💪

    Steelersfan15

@Yoshikage Kira no ben had more yards and tds

    Michael Hashimoto

@Steelersfan15 TDs yes, but Smith had more YPA. 9 yards more on 7 more passes. The INT, too, but that was a tipped ball.

    Steelersfan15

@Michael Hashimoto the Steelers offense isn’t based off of throwing long

    Michael Hashimoto

@Steelersfan15 Hmm, neither is Washington or Smith in general. Smith lead the league in deep passes in 2017, but otherwise hasn’t based his offense on that. Big Ben > Smith, but I think the more yards is irrelevant in this game since the YPA is Smith’s advantage and only 9 yards in total.

Gotta give Alex Smith props. Coming back from one of the nastiest injuries. The team he plays for had a disastrous offseason. And out of every team, the team with no name beats the last undefeated NFL team. That’s Comeback Player of the Year status.

    Zach Sabga

2nd to last. You’re forgetting about the Jets.

    The InvictusSamaritan

@Zach Sabga Jaguars had a worse offseason imo.

    Daddy SmokesYams

The recycled “no name team” comments on every Washington video shows how many people share the same brain. Not even creative enough to bring a new joke

Alex Smith’s Redemption Arc continues…

Jason Munoz

“I guess the Steelers aren’t as good as we thought” -every NFL analyst

King Braz

People forget that Alex smith lead Washington to a 6-3 record and was leading the division before he got hurt. Smith has been a huge part of turning franchises around such as Kansas City where they where the worst team in football before he arrived looks like he could do the same in Washington

    Darren Russell

He took the 49ers to a 13-3 record then was replaced the next season after missing 1 game with a concussion.. he was 6-2 and leading the league in passing percentage at the time lol

    ethan hicks

6-2 and leading in passing percentage, he is now 9-3 as a washington starter

Just hand the comeback player of the year award to alex already.

@Real Is Real if they separated the award by conferences, I would agree Ben in AFC and Alex in NFC. But only one award, and what Alex has come back from is legendary.

Alex Is Gonna Win The Comeback Player Of Year Award. He Comeback Story Is A Mentioned Picture Worthy

Alex smith is a man of LEGEND!

Vumi Manseka

As a steelers fan I’m just glad that there are no more toxic bandwagons putting “11-0” Hats off to Washington and I think Alex Smith has just locked in Comeback Player of the year

    Ben Manseka

Well Vumi its nice to know that you are muture and not toxic Also didn’t you once say you would support all the NFL teams?

    Roblox Gamer

Great Game Good to know you aren’t toxic

    Cheese Pie

I agree Alex Smith should win CPOTY

    Vumi Manseka

@Ben Manseka Yes I do Support All Nfl teams 🙂

David Ingersoll

Welcome back Alex and thanks for the solid, signed-a Chiefs fan!

    Red Rover

    Yesssss! I second that!!

    Matt Drummond

    Third that

Damien Wells

Alex Smith is the real deal always has been. Wish he was still with the niners. I mean we ended up with a star but this dude. Good Stuff!!!

    Matt Burasco

Chiefs would’ve never got Mahomes if Alex stayed in SF. Keap would’ve never figured out he was oppressed in the NFL. Jimmy G might still be for the patriots and who knows where Cam would be. All because Alex stayed in SF lol

    Dwight Love

Damien Wells He had no talent in the WR core to help him live up to being the no.1 overall selection his main target was TE VERNON DAVIS with great speed 4.37 6’4 250

Jason Fisher

So happy for Alex. Have a lot of respect for that man. He’s a class act.

    Red Rover

He is a total class act, just an all around good guy.

Bucky Fiden

Smith also smartly walked off the field with the ball right before halftime, which screwed the refs up, and they got a field goal attempt out of it when the clock should have run out. LOL

KAEP

I feel like Mike Tomlin is definitely happy and mad that he lost

Blake Hebeler

If Washington wins the SB this year it will turn into a movie. Coach had cancer, name change, Alex Smith return, and winning the SB. I would watch it. 😁

    Mustafa Ali

yes please. I really think it could happen.

    TronHD

It sounds so unrealistic, but its not out of reach. Worst division, 3 qb, Coach recovering from cancer, no off season, pandemic, no name.

Dennis Daniel

I can’t believe Alex Smith was able to come back and start in the NFL, no matter how he performs it’s the most incredible comeback in sports history imo
