Melvin Gordon and fumbling in the most crucial moments. Name a better duo

Colby Sports

Lol Melvin FUMBLE Gordon he can kick rocks Javonte deserves more carrys

    Barron Strickland

@Purklepanda55 this should be the week they prepare him to start, it’s time for a change and we will find out what and who he is.remember when Tebow gave us that spark and got us into the playoffs? sometimes a change is needed and we’re still in the hunt and hey if he bad we have a higher draft pick but we know this is not a SB team so what do we have to lose?

    Purklepanda55

@Barron Strickland I agree. I think lock is also changing. He switched his footwork in the offseason, cut down on turnovers, checked the ball down more, and changed his mentality.

I hope lock gets one last chance to prove himself before we make any major moves.

    Barron Strickland

@Purklepanda55 this is the perfect time.lock would have put his body on the line to make that tackle after that fumble also.

    Purklepanda55

@Barron Strickland idk if he woulda made it but he would’ve tried.

    Barron Strickland

@Purklepanda55 and that’s all we can ask.drew lock was known to put his body in harm’s way which was considered a problem.i just was a QB that will do what ever it takes to win and not worried about the box score

Mr .jeany79

Get rid of Gordon and Bridgewater fangio shurmer ..time to clean house!!!!

    Purklepanda55

@b7ray32 from the ground up?🤣nah we just need a qb and a coach.

    John Pena

@GodlyXnNs I agree about Williams but we never should have brought Gordon to Denver, Phillip Lindsay and Williams would have been a better combination with Phillip Lindsay the back up RB !

    David Burkart

@John Pena To be fair, Lindsay has totaled 133 yards this season with the Texans & right at 500 total yards last season with the Broncos, whose carries were split with Gorden, who had nearly 1000. You always go with the hot hand. I didn’t want to see Lindsay go either, but if a guy isn’t going to fit your schemes anymore, is it better to see him relegated to backup or practice-squad status, or do you give him a chance to play every day, which he is clearly not getting, even in Houston right now?

    John Pena

@David Burkart Phillip Lindsay’s isn’t getting anywhere near the carriers in Houston that he got in Denver and last year he played half the season while injured with a dead ankle and shared Carrie’s with Gordon .

    David Burkart

@John Pena That is true, but it also is indicative of how the Texans value Phillip, where he fits in their own schemes, which causes me to think Denver was seeing the same limitations. After a couple of years of tape study, teams figure out how to stop even the best of players. They may believe teams have figured out Lindsay’s strengths and will be limited in his effectiveness from here on out. Such players are still effective in part-time or shared roles because the opposing defense may be limited with their on-field adjustments with offensive switches of RBs & WRs.

Teams in today’s NFL share more snaps in their running game than ever because it makes sense to spread the load & reduce the potential for long-term injury to an individual key running back.

John Pena

Melvin Gordon isn’t worth a tenth of what the Broncos are paying him, lately all he’s done is put the ball on the ground at crucial times of the game, when Phillip Lindsay was the #1 RB he never turned over the ball much less at crucial times !

ɢʀᴇᴀᴛ sᴇʀɪᴇs 😍😍😍😍

David Burkart

Well, Teddy could have tackled him, but….

WT4

You lost your job next year my guy Mel😂

Ben Keafer

No comment! 🤦‍♂️

Resto Ron

Don’t know why Melvin Gordon is put in in moments of high importance. The rookie is WAY more affective. Yes I know Williams fumbled twice earlier this year BUT so did Melvin Gordon in the same game. The difference is since that game only Melvin Gordon has fumbled again. Use the rookie.

Collection Connection

Gordon you know that ball protection is key. We also know that we should make 3rd downs and not have to rely on 4th downs, like we seem to have all year!

Jarod Boldt

Watched to see if they would ask Gordon if he was still surprised to still be getting the ball in key situations despite him repeatedly fumbling in multiple critical points in the game. But at least he tried to chase down Slay until Teddy set a pick and let Slay reach the endzone.
